1. Acceptance of these terms and conditions
The Trade Me Property April Giveaway (Giveaway) is run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me). By entering the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you may not enter and are not eligible to receive a Prize. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Giveaway, or any Prize at any time without notice.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to New Zealand residents who: (i) are 18 years of age or over at the time of entry; (ii) are considering selling their property within the next 12 months; and (iii) do not currently have their property listed for sale with any real estate agent at the time of entry.
Directors and employees of Trade Me Limited, their related bodies corporate, and any agencies associated with the Giveaway are not eligible to enter.
3. Giveaway period
The Giveaway opens at 12.00am (NZST) on Tuesday 28 April 2026 and closes at 11.59pm (NZST) on Tuesday 12 May 2026 (the Giveaway Period). Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
4. How to enter
To enter, complete the Meta Instant Form attached to the Trade Me Property April Giveaway advertisement on Facebook or Instagram during the Giveaway Period. Entrants must provide their full name, email address, and phone number via the form. Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Entries must be submitted by the entrant personally — entries submitted by third parties will not be accepted.
5. Prize
There are five (5) prizes available. Each prize consists of one (1) Audience Boost package on Trade Me Property, valued at NZD $199 (each a Prize).
Each Prize: is non-transferable and non-exchangeable; cannot be redeemed for cash or any other product or service; must be redeemed by the winner when they list their property for sale on Trade Me Property; and must be redeemed within 12 months of the winner being notified. The Prize does not guarantee any particular sale outcome, sale price, or number of views or enquiries.
6. Winner selection
Trade Me will select five winners from all valid entries by random draw. Trade Me’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If a selected winner is found to be ineligible or cannot be contacted within 7 days of notification, Trade Me reserves the right to select a replacement winner by redraw.
7. Winner notification
Winners will be notified by email using the contact details provided via the Meta Instant Form at the time of entry. Winners must confirm acceptance of their Prize within 7 days of notification. Unclaimed Prizes will be forfeited and, at Trade Me’s discretion a redraw will be conducted.
8. Publicity
By entering, entrants agree that if selected as a winner, their first name and town or city of residence may be published on Trade Me’s social media channels, email marketing, or website along with a description of their Prize. Winners will not be entitled to any fee or compensation in connection with such publicity.
9. Privacy
Trade Me will collect and hold personal information (such as your details via the Meta Instant Form) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and for the purpose of administering the Giveaway and notifying winners. Entry data will be transferred from Meta to Trade Me and stored securely. By entering, participants consent to receiving electronic communications related to the Giveaway. All communications will include an unsubscribe option as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by any entrant or winner arising from or in connection with the Giveaway or the receipt or use of a Prize (including any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or incidental loss or damage). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant or winner is limited to a maximum of NZD $500 for all claims in aggregate. Trade Me accepts no responsibility for any failure of the Meta platform to correctly record or transmit entries.
11. General conditions
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., and Meta has no liability in connection with this Giveaway. Any questions or complaints regarding the Giveaway should be directed to Trade Me, not Meta. Trade Me reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions. The Trade Me terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply to the Giveaway with all necessary modifications. This Giveaway is subject to applicable New Zealand law.
