Change push notification settings
Update settings on each device
Sometimes your notification settings won’t sync across separate devices logged into your account. Make sure to update your settings on each device.
To change notification settings on iOS:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select profile-framed Profile & Account.
3. Select settings Settings.
4. Select Notifications
5. Next to each notification type, turn the switch on or off. If the switch is blue, you’ll get a notification.
To stop all notifications on iOS:
1. Go to My Trade Me.2. Select profile-framed Profile & Account.
3. Select settings Settings.
4. Select Notifications.
5. Select Disable Trade Me notifications.
6. Select Notifications.
7. Turn off Allow notifications.

Samsung devices
To customise notification settings on a Samsung, you’ll need to go to the device’s settings menu first to turn on Manage notification categories for each app.
1. Go to Settings on your Samsung device.
2. Select Notifications.
3. Select Advanced settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom and turn on Manage notification categories for each app.
To change notification settings on a Samsung device:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select profile-framed Profile & Account.
3. Select settings Settings.
4. Select Notifications. Make sure Receive push notifications is turned on.
5. Select Configure push notification types.
6. Select Notification categories.
7. Next to each notification type, turn the switch on or off. If the switch is blue, you’ll get a notification.
To stop all notifications settings on Samsung:

2. Select profile-framed Profile & Account.
3. Select settings Settings.
4. Select Notifications.
5. Turn off Receive push notifications.

Other Android devices
To change notification settings on other Android devices:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select profile-framed Profile & Account.
3. Select settings Settings.
4. Select Notifications. Make sure Receive push notifications is turned on.
5. Select Configure push notification types.
7. Select a notification type to update your preferences.
Watchlist and Favourites notifications
You choose how often you want to get notifications for specific items or Favourites.
Watchlist notifications
You’ll automatically get a push notification to let you know an item on your Watchlist is closing in one hour. To change this preference update the Watchlist reminder notification setting.
Favourite notifications for searches, categories, or sellers
When you favourite a search, category or seller, you can choose to get instant push notifications about new listings. To change this preference, you need to edit the favourite.
To change notifications about a favourite search, category or seller:
- Go to My Trade Me.
- Select heart Favourites.
- Select the three dots next to the favourite you want to edit.
- Under ‘Notifications’, select your preference for either Instant or None.
