Sold a large item (2m long, a pain to have sitting around). Had lots of difficulty getting any response from buyer (who has about 10% negative feedback). Eventually got paid after about 10 days. 25 days after the sale the item hasn't been uplifted, in spite of several reminders. I've threatened to chuck it out if it isn't collected today in order to bring it to an end. Is this reasonable?
I'm seeing an increasing number of rural buyers attempting to avoid the RD surcharge by omitting the RD info in the delivery address they supply, or not paying the appropriate amount when the posted shipping amount states "RD extra". This obviously doesn't happen (except maybe with Aramex) if their shipping address is uploaded to their Trademe profile or if the seller gets a quote via Book a Courier. Presumably they're hoping the seller won't notice that they're forking out an extra $5.50 or whatever on shipping, but it's an unnecessary waste of time having to get them to top-up the payment...
I had a listing and someone with bad feedback made a bid. They were automatically removed and blacklisted by Bid Bud but came back just before the auction closed under a different recently created member name with no feedback and won the auction. Both memberships had different names from the bank account used to make payment. Sure enough they immediately started bombarding me with emails complaining about the item as they had previously done to other sellers yet didn't ask any questions on the auction, presumably because I would have recognized them as the same person and blocked them.
