I have had a good study of things now and understand it all much better. Personally, I'm going down the route of Stock & Buy (2x Shopify Stores) pending a few details I'm working through (thanks to Andy for the tip) -> Shopify -> Omnivore (two trademe accounts + one managed manually). Shopify just doesn't have the ability to be able to run any form of effective inventory management from it without an app so Stock&Buy or something similar is not optional without Tradevine. It will be interesting how it sorts out fulfilment and functionality but with the discontinuation of Tradevine completel...

Hi Hayley, yes you are just creating more work for yourself. Have all your income come into one account (for only this purpose). Income and refunds get proceed all at once on a single entry on the day you get paid or do the refund directly from the bank account. Xero will read it as income, exactly what it is. Any integration between Xero and an inventory management system is (in my opinion) totally pointless. If you take accounting back to the bare basics and go to Excel - this is how it is done. Now back to the topic at hand - finding the best solution to this software problem

Yep, think you might have been accountant duped on that one. Xero doesn't need to know who the orders were for, for reconciliation. They only need income straight off the bank statement line. What you are doing is fine with small orders but when you get into the large number (eg 1000s per month) then that becomes a nightmare

Hayley why do you need it to integrate with Xero? I found Tradevine and Xero integration terribly bad as it acted by a compulsory raising of invoices - making 10x the amount of work with reconciliation. I use bank feeds for revenue now which is so easy.
