I had an issue with an Auto bid on trade me motors and I was wondering if someone could help explain what happened.  Last night I placed an auto bid on a 1976 Honda CB 200 setting the maximum at $1750.  At the time the highest bid was $1310.  The reserve had not been met.  I was under the impression that auto bid would keep bidding in incremental amounts up to the value of $1750 as other bids were placed.  It did not do this but instead bid $1750 in one bid which I did not want for obvious reasons.  In this case the reserve was still not met.  What went wrong here?
