When I sell an Item I put feedback on buyer as soon as there part in the trade is done, but when I buy an Item I pay for it straight away and complete my part in the transaction the seller seems to wait for me to post feedback first. This seems wrong to me like sellers are keeping their options open just in case they get negative feedback. To me If a person Buys and pays for item, their side of the transaction is complete and they should receive feedback straight away even before item is sent. I get annoyed that my part is not acknowledged until I like there Item. Some sellers wait until ...
I just sell the occasional book of mine after reading it so not on a major scale but some advice I have... I've been using NZ post. I mostly sell novels and was using the previous prepay S ticket. Its dimensions allowed for up to two average size novels. I'd state in my postage that I could send up to two books for that postage which often led to customers buying multiples, since it was easy to see they could combine. Its harder to figure out the dimensions now the labels are volumetric but I think if you use the rate finder and pay online the dimensions still favour multiple books. Otherwi...
Gosh, it was a real secret wasn't it? I went to make a new listing to check if there was a notification about free selling at the bottom of the listing window as it had been so long. There was no text in the listing indicating the fees would be free like there normally is so how were we supposed to know? I'd been saving things to list too.
I haven't received yesterday's payment either which is unusual.
Trade Me really should do something about the sell through rate and the listing allowance. It's easy to get into a downward spiral where sales fall, your stats get worse, you have to list less, so sales falls again... and around and around it goes. It's in no-one's best interest for it to work the way it currently does. I appreciate that they extend Top Seller over Christmas but without also extending the listing allowance it's rather a moot point for me and I still end up working over Christmas trying to make things still work at the roughest time of the year. I've pointed this out but ...
I was hoping for a pick up for Christmas as I usually have but it doesn't seem to be going to happen this year. Managing to keep Top Seller but am probably going to lose the heightened listing allowance as it expires the week after Christmas which is always dead. I'm not willing/able to pay high volume listing fees so next year is really going to suck...
I was charged success fees once for an item that sold on a free selling day. I contact trademe via chat and they refunded the fees.Go to contact us and wait a few seconds for the little blue chat button to appear in the bottom righthand corner and you can report the problem there.
S, True but I think people are more likely to ignore the generic request but a direct e-mail with a person on the other end is more likely to get a response. I've only had one success fee refund request acknowledged in the last several hundred requests.
You could also contact trademe and ask them to e-mail the buyer for you. I once had a buyer who refused to communicate with me but did admit to trademe when they e-mailed them that they weren't going to complete the trade.
I don't suppose it would help with this kind of listing but you can sometimes access archived listings in my products via the photos section. If you create a new listing and click 'Use Existing Photos' you can search for the filename of the photo you used in the listing (or if you don't list much just scroll through until you see the photo). Then click on the image and then 'use photo'. Once the image is in your new listing click on it again. On the right of the window that opens is a list of 'Other products using this photo:'. Often the archived listing will be included in the list. You c...
