"We want to make sure everyone using Trade Me has a great experience when they buy or sell." That’s a commendable goal, but I hope you genuinely address complaints rather than just deleting them to avoid scrutiny. If we're here raising concerns, it means we want the platform to work just as much as you do. Instead of silencing critical feedback, take it to heart and act on it, Trade Me staff!
On certain auctions, the bidding option has disappeared, yet the auction is still live and running, so the poor seller will not get the right price for his goods. I've seen this a number of times now, and I'm beginning to wonder if this is why things are not selling as well here on Trademe. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Great, Aramex is up again but cannot open the courier label (PDF), it has been corrupted and the tracking link is also corrupted, so there still seems to be some issue.
Just checked in again at 10:18 AM—still no sign of Aramex. I really hope this gets sorted soon because I have no interest in paying NZ RIP-OFF POST. Using NZ Post for low-cost items would eat up around 50% of the item's price!
I'm only being offered NZ Post rip-off prices for shipping, does anyone else have the same issue? Does anyone know whether this is temporary?
Gary-NZStocked While synthetic carpets are less susceptible to static electricity compared to other materials, they can still carry a static charge under certain conditions. Just the same as certain plastics can also generate static electricity. That's why it is important to use antistatic bags instead of general plastic bags, especially when dealing with sensitive items that require protection from static charges. A clean hard antistatic surface like an antistatic mat or plastic, even wood, stone or tiles surface is better to use if you want to take a photo of your electronics.
I concur, as a computer technician, this is very annoying to see. There is one trader on Trademe that is videoing their computer parts and they do keep their parts in antistatic bags. They have links to videos of them in their auctions, so there still are some out there that do care, amongst the many careless ones. Great you mentioned it David!
Hi Gary, There could be many reasons for delayed shipping I'm sure you would know. Firstly Trademe does not give more flexible options with templates, you choose 1-2 or 2-3 processing time or but not delivery time which is obvious you cannot control delivery times unless you you personally do the delivery. How can a sender know what the courier companies will do with your parcels. As a person who tries to under promise and over deliver, I can only agree that it is frustrating when ordering something from say a big brand company, only for them to have it dispatched a week or more later. But ...
I've had several living outside of Auckland, Wellsford, Warkworth, Kaukapakapa all claiming they live in the Auckland City boundary, that's like claiming Turangi is in Hamilton, Auckland City just unfortunately has the same name as the Region, whereas Hamilton and Turangi's Region is Waikato. So many residents that live outside Auckland City try it on all the time to dodge the "Rest of North Island" courier rates. I've had this conversation with so many and they keep trying, I wish there were more honest people in the world today.
