Simon, try out using MyProducts. Like others, I was reluctant to start using it as i didnt understand it and didnt want to learn something new. However, was going away for 2 months and didnt want to lose my auction details so it was really the only option. I used to waste time each day relisting my auctions but now its all done automatically via myproducts and it saves me so much time. When you understand its concept, its so easy to use and of course had some help from this wonderful community
Once the auction has closed, you can see the watchers by offering a fixed offer. From there you can find the stalker and at least blacklist them. But all that does is stop them from asking questions and bidding, they can still watch your auctions
Hi Tom, if the postage amount was on the auction then no, you shouldnt be paying any extra. if not, then as Callum states but Id be learning towards a no also
Thanks for everyones input. I normally always leave feedback but on some occasions like this i dont, but also dont expect to have negative/neutral feedback simply because I didnt place some - after all its not a requirement. Im sure this is against trademe's feedback policy and it would be interesting to see if trademe would remove/amend if challenged. I know they are reluctant to review feedback nowadays. And just an update, the seller responded to my email saying they were surprised I wasnt happy with the trade, but has deleted their feedback so all in all a good result
If they are less than 20mm thick, then you can send them via nz post using stamps - $4.60. The cheapest but note they are not tracked
It does update the auctions. I updated my shipping due to NZ posts 1/7 increases. I use my products and a template for shipping for most. I checked the actual auction where I had updated the template and it was changed instantly. The others that use the same shipping template can take a bit longer depending on how many listings use it
Is it possible that they had already placed a bit prior to you blacklisting them?
The buyers rating is not great, but it inself does not prove they are a scammer - Ive seen worst complete trades. Did you even read the feedback they got a ascertain why the negative? Maybe it stated they were a scammer, maybe they did something wrong with the trade, maybe the other trader was just unreasonable. Thats why you cant just rely on the number, you need to read the comments. Yes you need to act with caution, but did you even give them a chance to pay?
It depends whether you are thinking 24 hour time or 12 hour time. Yes, if thinking 24 hour time you are correct. If 12 hour time, 12:00 could be either midnight or midday depending on the am or pm. You cant just cancel a trade because you suspect the person may be scam. It pays to be diligent, but the person could be ligit. Imagine you've just brought something, stayed up late to bid on it and then the buyer not allow you to proceed because they think you are a scammer. It could be considered a reasonable reason to provide negative feedback.
You can do a community watch on one of their auctions to report it to trademe. They can then look into it
