I think for privacy reasons they bank cannot confirm the details of the bank account. Did you get a partial match with the surname?
When you are in the chat bot, just type speak to a person. Note though that they might not be available today due to the public holiday
No you dont need a credit card to be on trademe. You can add credit using a bank account. Crazy as it sounds, I know a few adults that dont have credit cards as they dont like buying on credit. If you only want to sell to people using ping, you can set your auction up to only have ping as a payment option
This is a tricky one. Did you advise the postage amount on your auction prior to the sale? If so, that amount forms part of the contract and the buyer is not required to pay more. If the quote was done via trademe's book a courier, they say its an estimate and you can ask the buyer for me, but that does meet the conditions of a contract. If the postage amount wasnt advised prior to the sale and only after the sale, you could argue it was an estimate and possibly ask the seller to pay more - but this would depend on wording when advised. Im not sure on the legal aspect of the buyer offering...
Thanks for the answer Michelle
Further to the original question. Something listed on the free listing day sells, and is also offered out at a FPO because you have 2 of them. If accepted does the second sale also have free success fees?
Yes I have had it for the odd trade a few times. The address email is sent from trademe but in the address area it states: "Buyer to pick-up or make arrangements directly with the seller" Even though they have selected a shipping option
Why not just use their chat, its quicker
Why are you paying to list things, trademe works on the basis of paying when you sell things - or are paying for the extra services/high volume fees?
I wouldnt refund. I'd also be tempted to ask them to lodge a claim with NZ post for compensation for the lost item. Knowing full well that nz post wont (as they dont with anything sent with stamps), but it sends a very strong message where the liability sits now, and that it is not with you
