The buyers rating is not great, but it inself does not prove they are a scammer - Ive seen worst complete trades. Did you even read the feedback they got a ascertain why the negative? Maybe it stated they were a scammer, maybe they did something wrong with the trade, maybe the other trader was just unreasonable. Thats why you cant just rely on the number, you need to read the comments. Yes you need to act with caution, but did you even give them a chance to pay? 

I dont want this post to be a debate about why people take or not take certain payment types, everyone has their preferences. For me, its not about being cashless. It depends whether you are thinking 24 hour time or 12 hour time. Yes, if thinking 24 hour time you are correct. If 12 hour time, 12:00 could be either midnight or midday depending on the am or pm. You cant just cancel a trade because you suspect the person may be scam. It pays to be diligent, but the person could be ligit. Imagine you've just brought something, stayed up late to bid on it and then the buyer not allow you to proceed because they think you are a scammer. It could be considered a reasonable reason to provide negative feedback.

You can do a community watch on one of their auctions to report it to trademe. They can then look into it

I dont use ping for the exact same reason and I will opt out too. Maybe the ping fee will be less than the listing fee so might be better, but the ping payment option will stay until manually removed and I dont want to have to to this to all my listings. Maybe it can be done as a bulk action in myproducts, but i have no interest

Thanks S, Im particularly asking about ping being added to relists, so if the discount applies to relists AND ping will be added to all listings today, then it sounds like they will have ping added. Luckily I purposely left my account in negative yesterday so My Products couldnt relist stuff until today (when I was going to add more credit). John - you need to understand this is trademe's website and they have their rules for use of it. You dont get to dictate what you want to send them, they do. You also dont get to demand to get them to send you their identity. You dont have that right, sorry.
