You only have to ship to areas listed in your shipping destinations on your listing. However seending to Aussie is not as hard as you may imagine. NZ post website will do a complete international quote and you can buy the ticket there as well. You do have to take it in to your postal center though to send. I never list aussie shipping prices but have sent on request a number of times over the years.  The shipping price to aussie is a lot more than NZ of course, and once you quote that to the buyer its possible they will refuse to go ahead anyway

I agree that if you are to pickup an item, it it concerns you the exact suberb, just ask seller, its simple. However its also good for seller to put approx pickup location in text. The issue with that the suberb in peoples profiles is that suburbs change. Ie manukau used to be the only option originally to select in profile for all areas in the old mankau city (pre super city) which was vast (orere point right through to Puketutu island) which is a 60km 1.5 hour drive.  Now there are many other suberbs available to select within that old Manukau city area. However many members have maybe no...

If the seller is asking for a different shipping charge, ask them why. Possibly you selected an incorrect shipping option, or you are rural but paid urban, or the seller is pulling a fast one. Many options and you need to find the facts of the issue before you can assess it

  • Don_ created a post,

I was just browsing through TM help info and suddenly found info on tyrewise stewardship fee, which as I understand is a levy on tyres to help process them at end of life. I had never heard of it before ( never sold tyres) and according to TM it must be mentioned in all tyre listings that this includes the stewardship fee in the price. So I looked through lots of tyre listings and only found one listing with this. If TM demand this, then why dont they  1/ state in the tyre listing process that this is required , and 2/ enforce it. Im sure hardly anybody listing tyres knows about this obscur...

Callum, yes I have lots of question marks about this buyers statement, was just throwing it out there to see if its possibly a thing. But as I say I seriously question  the authenticity of the buyers statement

I resently met a buyer on TM who was very unhappy with TM. He said he had rung their 0900 number and been charged $100 for it. Im scratching my head puzzled as I thought TM had deleated all their phone number for customer service, and never had an 0900 number, which I belive charges by the minute. Anybody throw any light on this? He was very very very unhappy with TM

I belive if no charger was pictureed or mentioned, then they only get what is advertised, they are effectively asking for an item you are not selling, or looked at in another way , asking for an effective huge discount for you to supply charger. This is the buyers issue, not the sellers, although as Callum suggested, would have been a good idea to mention it was not included.  I would tell them that if they dont want to go ahead with the trade, they can return to you at their cost, and you will refund the "purchse price", but not outward shipping. I think Callums suggestion of refunding shi...

Im guessing the parcel was quite large volumetrically and in these cases, even though the weight is low, they calculate a volumetric weight whch is im guessing the 11kg you have printed on the ticket. However that pricing should have come out on your original calculation, Is it possible that the original shipping price was based on urban delivery and you are sending to rural so has extra charge. Or possibly on either your original calculation, or final calculation for shipping costs, did you input an incorrect figure leasing to the variation between costs?

It is clearly feedback black mail, which TM look at in a poor light. From the TM feedback policy "As outlined in our code of conduct, members should not replace retaliatory feedback. " It maybe best not to mention this to them as otherwise they may manuipulate the wording of the negative to make it look as though its not retaliatory. But if they go ahread with it, you can do a feedback dispute with TM and you have the email to show TM that it is retalatory.
