Hi Ren. The reason Trade Me have always given for this change is because it had become very outdated and any changes that were wanted to be made either couldn't be done, or in doing so, something else would break. They also wanted a more seamless look and experience between the website and the App. It's like the analogy of multiple fixed up old plumbing or electricity. Eventually it becomes a spaghetti of bandaged up pipes and dead ends that needs to be completely replaced or the whole lot goes kaput. I've never much liked that "If it ain't broken....." saying. I mean is there anything wr...
The My Products system is web based. You really should check it out. You can create a listing on a single page, rather than scrolling through many to get a product listed. It will automate your relisting, FPOs, shipping costs, and payment instructions. It includes selling and sold tabs, so you can see at a glance where things are at. For the payment instructions format you mention. You will probably find that the buyer gets it in the correct format. It's just that if a seller views their own instructions it can appear to be a mess. I don't use Book a Courier myself, so can't comment ther...
Hello Ren. If you are listing a decent amount of items you might want to look into My Products. This is the free listing tool that Trade Me provides. It allows you to bulk relist items, and it will even relist closed unsold items automatically so you don't have to do anything until something sells. It has many other nice factors that makes listing / managing / relisting much easier. Many people who switch over kick themselves for not doing so years earlier. Is there any reason you manually send out Payment Instructions? This can all be automated as well.
Hello Caroline. Yes this issue is causing anguish to a lot of people over the last 7 months. Hopefully a fix is close. For your other issue it sounds like you have turned on MFA and now don't want to use that? Refer to this link: https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/9059450588303-Multi-factor-authentication
Dunno if it's particularly something Trade Me would want you doing, but what about the good old "123456789" or however many numbers are on a microchip? Does it validate whatever you put in there?
Hello Nicola. This gets asked on here all the time. As explained in the help file, unfortunately for Trades in the "new look" (Reference starting with KP) you need to contact Trade Me directly via live chat to get these ones done.
I guess that's the whole point to try and stop people selling puppies before they are 90 days old?
I have done a test listing on Desktop and succeeded in making a listing. No microchip number was necessary. Perhaps you could provide a screen shot of the error you are getting?
Yes. Microchip is not a required field when listing a dog.
