Paying by debit card
AnsweredWITH THE CHANGEING TIMES AS FAR AS Trade Me is concerned, why cant i use a debit card on TradeMe. Is it just me, surely there must be a way of purchasing goods on TradeMe with a card that is acceptable to all parties. Yes the banks are changeing it would seem to Debit cards for local purchases and credit cards for off shore purchases, but i may very well be wrong on this. If this is the case is there an easy way to use my debit card any help would be very much be well recieved.

Hi Billy. You can enter a debit card just as you would a credit card and use it for Trade Me. I have used one for this for quite some time now. Just go to the help pages under managing your account and then saved payment methods It shows part way down the page how to add either.

What type of Debit card are you wanting to use?
TradeMe accept debit & credit cards - Help page: Ping – Help - Trade Me
Accepted payment methods:
- Ping balance
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
- Prezzy Card (excluding top-up)
- Q Mastercard
Q cards are no longer accepted - the Q Mastercard is.
Some Members have found they need to Save their card under the 'Add a new payment method' first rather than add the card on a purchase Pop up page. - Those who don't wish to have these card details saved will then remove/delete the saved card post purchase.
