Suddenly not receiving emails re discounted selling days

HI Jennie. All seem to be coming through OK here (gmail). Gmail does have a promotions tab, under the categories main tab. I never go there as these also appear in the main inbox, for me. If I didn't get one it would be hard to confirm if there was a deal or not. Don't forget that these emails are targetted. Different users get different deals most weekends. There are some global ones though. Those are usually advertised on banners etc within the website.

I can understand emails going to a different folder/tabs in gmail - Primary, Promotions or Social - but I've a hotmail account which has all emails going to 1 Inbox; no categories.
I know discounts only apply to casual sellers who are selected to receive the email; that's the problem - TM say they can see that they successfully sent me the email; I say I didn't get 3 of the last 4.
I didn't get the email but saw that I had discounted selling when I went thru' the process of listing items on the relevant day.I haven't made any changes so what is wrong; what can I do?

Hi Jennie. If TM say they sent the emails from their end it's probably going to be an issue with hotmail, or outlook etc if you are using that to process incoming mail. I assume you've already been through this help page and followed all that advice? That's about all the advice I can offer I'm afraid. Not a big fan of hotmail personally. Historically it does seem to have a few problems. I do sometimes get hotmail users saying they didn't receive my emails.

Thanks but yes have read & done all that.
What I can't understand is - why was everything OK up until February, then I missed 1 email got the next then missed 2.
I was going to ring Slingshot but that looked like I was going to waiting a long time for them to answer.

Double check you haven't got TradeMe in your spam/junk email folder or blocked it. I see you have them as a Safe Sender though this may be overridden if they have been accidently blocked somehow - Cheers.

Yep have done that. I've the Junk Email Folder showing on the side bar so it can't be missed.
The trademe emails just disappeared - just the latest for the discounted selling, I get all other emails.
Could it be the changes TM are making to their new-look site?0 -

Your Hotmail will have a Filter access in it somewhere - this is where you need to check you haven't got TradeMe in - Cheers.

Hi Jennie,
Does your Inbox on your hotmail account not have 2 inboxes? Because the ones that have hotmail.com have a "Focused" inbox and an "Other" inbox. The "focused" inbox is mainly for general emails, but the "other" inbox is mainly for emails advertising something.
Yet the hotmail account ending in hotmail.co.nz doesn't.

Thanks for comments re "Focused" & "filters". I might need some time to work thru' filters but I think I turned off sorting emails into focused - I've got hotmail.com & just 1 Inbox.

Hi, may or may not be related. I use Gmail and incoming filters/labels to sort Trademe emails into work flows. This stopped working 2 days ago, and my Gmail inbox became bloated.
Looking at it today I see I had originally specified an email address when setting up my filters "mailer@trademe.co.nz". Trade me now send me emails from "mailer@site.trademe.co.nz".

Confirming TradeMe emails seemed to have been switched to the new mailer@site.trademe.co.nz address on 23 April 2024 for saved searches in My Favourites - Other incoming TradeMe emails still arrive from their usual sending TradeMe address's - If you have filtered different Favourite saved searches you may need to set your same filters on the new mailer@site address - it is an address to add to your whitelists for TradeMe.
I had trouble saving a New Gmail email address a few days back - it kept going to the Error 500 page so I have an open fault with TradeMe on that issue currently - Cheers.

Not just saved favorites (I dont use this feature).
Any emails coming to me regarding sales - Ping payment confirmation, courier bookings etc as well as questions on auctions.
Not ideal timing given that my sales page went to new look over same period. Have sorted my gmail filters, thanks.

It sounds like everything in the sales side has been switched to the new email address - Marketing emails & Response to your questions Answers are still currently coming through the original TradeMe address - atmo anyway. - Some big changes taking place in HQ - Cheers.
