Issues with accepting offers on listing, then buyer not paying as they think TM will automatically make Ping payment
I've now had a couple of situations where a buyer has made an offer on an item, they have selected Ping as a payment method. I have then accepted their offer, but the person then doesn't pay.
Which you know people not paying is a part of trading, but the last couple of times I have reached out to someone they thought that because they had selected Ping payment when they made their offer, that TM would automatically make the ping payment when I accepted their offer.
It would be great if TM could make it much clearer that they still need to make the ping payment, or automate it, once the offer has been accepted.

Kia Ora Dean,
I find the 'Make an Offer' Help pages very limited in information of the entire process - there is No direction of how the process works from the perspective of when, why, who, what & how you select a payment method, send the Seller your address if the Offer is accepted?
When making a bid on a Listing you enter the sending method, Delivery Or Pick up - the Payment method is Not selected until After the Listing is Won/Purchased - Normally if choosing Ping as a payment method you would select your address to be sent to the Seller at the same time as you have made an actual purchase However that is not the case Or practical with Make an Offer as the Offer has not yet been accepted therefore why has Ping been selected? - this is where your Ping payers are getting lost with the process.
Expanding information in the Make an Offer Help pages as to How the entire process works from this point of view so the Full process is understood would be Awesome! - Cheers.
Edit: Even a note on the Ping selection stating "If Offer is Accepted Don't forget to head to your Won items to Pay by Ping" could improve this response.

I constantly have this problem with fixed price offer or bids. Customers will often message asking where there item is only to end up apologizing profusely when they realize their payment didn't go out automatically like with buy now purchases.
I have one customer who I've explained it to multiple times but still have to remind her to manually trigger the ping payments with each order.
It causes a lot of delays and additional work with having to e-mail them.1 -

Hi Dean. That's a new one from a buyer. Haven't heard that before. You can direct them to the help pages. Under buying and ways to pay it shows how the buyer pays this themselves. The saved payment method is the card the buyer has entered to pay for their purchases.
- After you've won an auction, head to your Won items.
- Select Pay with Ping on the listing.
- Enter your card details – or choose a saved payment method.

Cheers Kathryn,
It sounds like a note on the Ping selection reminding Buyers to head to their Won items to Pay by Ping is required Full stop! 😊
