Why can't I book a courier ?
AnsweredI have tried booking a courier via "book a courier" but the adress is "wrong" according to this site ? I have looked it up on the NZ Post adress finder & it is correct.I have tried different adresses & have ommitted the suburb e.t.c. & it doesn't work ? Very frustrating.I have tried the actual NZ Post site to book a courier there to pickup & the price there is 4 x more than the "book a courier" on this site.I am using my own bags.How the heck do you book on the NZ Post site trying to send a small bag without these ridicious prices ? I will appreciate any help on this matter from fellow members out there.

Looks like I will have to go into a NZ Post Shop tomorrow & buy one of their bags as there is a glitch with the adress when "booking a courier".This happened a few years back with another adress but since then I have sent 1000s successfully till tonight.

It's happening several times during the year. I can't book my both parcels with different addresses. It's a glitch here for sure.

The stupid thing is that it will allow me to get to the usual options with NZ Post & Aramex & then when I submit the button I get "
The pick up or delivery address needs updating"
Usually if the adress is wrong it goes straight to this rather than going to the next stage.

Wouldn't you now.I tried again this morning before going to work & now the adress has been acknowledged so I was successful in "booking a courier".Must have been a TradeMe glitch last night.Didn't have to change the adress at all,just the original one sent by the buyer.I wasted an hour last night trying everything.Oh well all's well that end's well.

If you notice this happening again, please get in touch on chat so an agent can take a look into things for you. Sometimes there can be a quick adjustment to get things off the ground; other times there might be an issue on our end or with our courier partners.

Confirming it is coming up for me ok - I am using the Desktop site - MS Edge Browser - if you are using 1 of the Apps type TradeMe.co.nz into your device browser to go through to the Desktop site in the interim.

I have tried using both my browser and my desk top. Lets me go through the whole prosess until i click "book courier" then it says the address needs updating

- Can you run the address through the NZ Post site to ensure it is correct for sending, including the Post code.
- Try entering the address manually into BAC incase there are unseen or extra characters or spaces applied that your Buyer has used, if you are copy/pasting the address in.

If i enter the address manually, my only option is to use Aramex as an option. I refuse to use them after attempting to book through them over 5 times and every time they never arrive to pick up the parcel

Wrong addresses is something that happens everyday Jayde. Yesterday I had one where the buyer had their address as ...... Strret. Obviously just a typo, but it meant I could not book the courier automatically as the name and address cleared as it was in error, so I had to manually enter.
I always email the buyer as below. It happens so often I have this saved as one of my quick Ditto paste items and usually add a bit more detail eg wrong spelling, wrong postcode, wrong suburb, area etc.
Just a note, it might pay to correct your delivery address on Trademe as it throws up errors when couriers are booked so I had to manually add your address. Other people may not know what to do, leading to delays or items going to the wrong address.

Jade, if you want to use NZ Post but can't get it on Trademe BAC for that specific address, you can book on other websites eg NZ Post, iShipping etc.

Its not the wrong address as it comes up on the post code finder website. Its more expensive going through other websites so hoping it can be fixed soon.
