Unpicked up item

Usual thing would be to email them again and specify when you need it picked up by, plus also place feedback saying the same. If no replies, contact Trademe and ask if they can email the buyer to prompt them. If no joy, apply for a success fee refund and when that comes through refund the buyer and relist.

Hi there Kevin - sorry to see this buddy, this is an unspoken problem that is rife through the second hand trade, people pay money, promise to pick-up and you never hear from them again, poof! Gone! Like a fart in the breeze.
Not a lot you can do. I am sure some of these people die, go to jail or end up in hospital, but the thing is, i never find out, because I never see or hear from them again to ask...
You can email them and ask for an account to return the money too, but if they never respond what happens next? My understanding is that sellers are not expected to "hold " items forever paid for or not. If 90 days pass with no contact, I believe that they become abandoned goods, and you can on sell them, but keep the original payment as a storage fee.
How long has it been since you last heard from them?

You can contact your bank, and ask them to reverse the payment back to account it came from, Just say it is not your money,
as the goods have not been picked up by buyer and still in your possession, and no contact from them?,
well the money is not yet yours, as you still have goods not collected, as some times it is easier to do that,
than trying to get blood from a stone so to speak, and once it is refunded, you can then move on, relist or what ever,
just make sure you state items must be picked up in within 10 days (or a definite time frame) etc. on your auctions,
then if no more contact just reverse the payment,
