Resolved - Cannot login to the new website
I cannot login to the new website design, I keep getting: "Oops we couldn't log you in. Please try again"
Sometimes the login modal fails entirely.
I still have links to sections of the site that is still using the old design and my account is recognized there, for example: https://www.trademe.co.nz/Payments/Secure/TopUpWithPing.aspx
I have confirmed that it is not an issue with the password (by resetting it), not an issue with negative balance, and not an issue with my browsers.

Are you still having Login issues this morning or has this corrected overnight for you?
Are you Logging in through the Desktop site Or the App?
Normally when you are already Logged in to the Community forum &/or the Old TM site you are already Logged in to the New site - whilst the page may not initially reflect you are logged in on the New site a page refresh should automatically recognise you are logged in as opposed to attempting to Login a second time.
If you are using the App have you downloaded the latest version? - The iOS App was updated yesterday 19 March 2024 - The Android App was updated on 17 March 2024.

The issue still persists.
I am using the Desktop site. I have tried refreshing but it does not recognise, which means I can't do more than browse since all other features requires me to sign in (which fails).

Kia ora Mark, that sounds rather frustrating! S is right that if you're logged in here and on the classic site, you are logged in so I'm not sure what this hiccup is preventing you from browsing. A quick test - Disable any extension or vpn you may have running - Cheers.

Thanks everyone, disabling my VPN has solved the issue.
I already had it suspended for critical sites like trademe, but didnt realize the desktop app was still running.
Hopefully in future you could include this as a tip in the error message.

I fixed it in a round about way by coming here and attempting to respond to the question. The login box appeared and it worked but the previously main login page just kept spinning. I tried three browsers and my phone as well as my laptop. Also changed password. I didnt even get an error message just the spinning. Oh well I am in through the trademen's emtrance!
