Seller says Ping funds not released - is this a scam?

You have made the payment though? Should it not be the sellers responsibility to get their money from ping? I don't use ping myself, but should they not be able to see that there is a payment pending? Once you paid, it was their responsibility to send it to you.
Its up to you decide how much you let this drag out for, but to be honest, you must be getting to point of saying "stuff it" requesting a ping refund, and buying off someone else, if the seller is refusing to send the item, what other options is there?
When did you make the payment? How long has it been so far?
Contacting T-Me can be a bit of a challenge at times, did you try 'Live Chat" during business hours on a week day?

Sorry to read of your experience leaving you in limbo there,
It is likely TradeMe are requesting further info' from you Seller to ensure this is a legitimate Trade before releasing the Ping payment. - As Simon says, once your Seller can see the Ping funds, Pending or Not, they should be releasing the goods to you. - It sounds like this may be a Pick up as you're awaiting an address?
I wouldn't send any further reports to TradeMe, it sounds like this may be starting the review process from the start each time you do - To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for assistance you select the Contact us Link at the bottom of any TM page, the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen, there may be a slight delay in this appearing.
Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once the Chat icon is selected - Talk to person - you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter your report ID# in the Chat window so the CE staff member can pull your case up readily.The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm - Afterhours you can leave a message in the Chat window and a staff member will email you on return to Business manned hours - I find messages left in the morning get an email response the same day.
