Can Ping be the sole payment method (casual seller)
AnsweredHi all. I remember a while back that bank account had to be offered as a payment method. Is this still the case?
Reason being I have had a spate of no contact/no payments from authenticated buyers and success fee refunds take forever and are often declined (buyer often says they paid/will complete when they haven't/won't). Am wondering if having start=reserve=buy now and Ping only will solve the issue - will also result in addresses being sent via trademe. I know this won't be foolproof if bidding.
Most of my genuine buyers pay via Ping. Thoughts?

Yes, you can have Ping as your only payment method. Just untick anything else, no probs. It only works for immediate payment though if the listing is buy now only. If bidding can be done or an auction with a buy now, then people can still buy now, pay later, although they will only be able to use ping.

Thank you Gary-NZStocked. Might give this a whirl as buy now/no contact is the most common issue for me at the moment. I was so sure that we had to offer a NZ bank account too. Have a great day.

It used to be that Australian sellers had to offer an NZ bank account payment option but I think that got canned once TM opened up to all countries.
Seems strange too that Australian sellers seem to be in no mans land still after all these years. You can't select Australia as a location when searching, and if you choose International, Australian listings don't show up. Makes it impossible to buy presents for Australian relatives from Australian sellers on here.
