When did PING payments as a default become a thing?

I agree with you - the tick box should be blank like the others, so I can select Ping if I want it.

It quietly happened a few months ago, this post you have made - if I remember correctly, is the 4th now, raising the same issue.

I dont really have a problem with the fee - whatevers. The issue we have is that it lets people pay, and then string out the pick-up process, with promises of picking up. If its just Cash / Eftpos, on collection, then the seller has the power to relist whenever they have had enough, without having to refund a ping payment.

Yes - you need to go through all your lisitngs and manually un-select it, and when you make a new listing, it needs to be manually un-selected then too.

I agree! I literally just logged in to complain about this. I hate that it is a default and can't find any ways of diabling it for all listing. It feels like a scam as didn't even know it was enabled and then you find out when you get a transaction fee.

Hi there. If you use My Products you should be able to bulk tick (or untick) ping as a payment method. It also can be default off if that's what you want when you create a listing. 

But my advice is to give it a try. Buyers love it and it does save a lot of time reconciling bank deposits.

Yes bulk tick to select on or off
BUT, when you have a mix of listings of shipping only or pick up only, it's not so easy.
I don't believe in sending bank details for pick up only listings, so this is a real pain for me.
You can't tick specific listings for ping (it's not a visible option) to remove it from those listings which means you need to open the listing in My Products to see if it's loaded and remove it if it is.

If I use the bulk select option to remove Ping, then I have to go back over the listings again to remove bank detail options on my pick ups (remove payment instructions and add "Cash")
