Top Seller with 46 trades?
AnsweredThe seller is listed as "top seller", but they've only been a member of 3 months and have 46 feedbacks, 96% positive. They are a pawn shop and are in trade. My question is why are they a top seller already? don't you have to prove yourself to get this status? thanks

You often see new members that immediately have Top Seller status, and also Address Verified which is not now available to general members. It's an incentive to get new members that show promise of great returns. A bit like all the deals the power companies and telecos provide for new members, but not existing ones.

Thank you for the insight. They listed item in the wrong category and when I pointed this out to them, they told me to move on. Not a great "promise" there... I guess TM will get their commission, so that's OK ;)

Kia Ora Nathan,
Members who meet the Top Seller status are automatically placed in the Top Seller program by TM - However to retain this status Members must continue to meet the requirements which are automatically checked every 6 weeks. - That being said TM may also award invited Sellers this status - as an incentive, as Gary NZStocked has provided.
To automatically qualify as a Top Seller Members requirements are to:
- Be 'in trade'.
- Have had at least 60 sold items, or have made at least $10,000 in sales over the past six weeks.
- Have a 98% or higher positive feedback rating.
- Have a sell-through rate of at least 10% over the past six weeks. Your sell-through rate is calculated by total purchases / (total purchases + total unsold listings). Sell-through rates are rounded to the nearest whole number.
- Cheers.
