How to close a dispute/complaint I lodged?
AnsweredI lodged a complaint with Trade Me. I thought the item purchased from this seller was faulty. It turns out the problem was NOT with the device but instead the operator, me. Can one of the helpful staffers at Trade Me please remove this complaint. The item (a wireless keyboard) seemed unable to switch on and pair. Turns out the mistake was mine. Oops. I wondered and my original thinking the fault was with batteries placed in device or device itself. Turns out neither of those was the issue at ALL.
Thanks for reading this.
Regards,
Bryce

Hello Bryce. I see you haven't placed feedback for this trade so no problem there.
Do you mean you have opened a Dispute for this item and now find you want to cancel that?
Depends how far along the dispute is but if it's in the early stages you will get an email that asks you if you want to continue the dispute or if it has been resolved. Just hit the resolved response and all will be good.
PS: Would be wise to remove the sellers username from your post. We are not meant to post those on this public forum.

Hello ARTHUR. Have you purchased and paid for an item? Or do you mean you have purchased it and the seller hasn't provided bank details? Your post wasn't clear.
Some sellers just send items without any more communication. So it's possible it will just turn up. However if you have concerns you can open a Dispute on Trade Me for the item you purchased. You can access that from your "Won" page.
The "P" number you provided doesn't mean much to us as Trade Me members just like you. That's a private transaction number between the buyer and seller.

Hello again Arthur. We are just members like you on this forum. It sounds like you have already opened a Dispute for this item? If so good. Just let that wind through the system. Nothing wrong with continuing to try getting a response from the seller yourself as well.
If you do wish to speak directly to Trade Me, you can do so at the Contact Us that appears on every page at the bottom right.

Kia Ora ARTHUR,
Sorry to read you've received an incorrect parcel there,
Is your Seller In-Trade? - If you think they may be a registered business you can look the up on the NZ Companies register to possibly obtain their phone number and address details.
It can take some time to go through the Disputes process as TradeMe communicate with your Seller also. - As Callum has advised you can contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" with any enquires meantime. - Cheers.
