Trade Me has closed my dispute even though I said it wasn't resolved
Trade Me is impossible to contact. How do I contact them? They closed my dispute (filed within 30 days) without it being resolved, and I clicked NO- it hasnt been resolved. yet they closed it anyway, because the seller sent bullshitted that they sent me the item. This is now three months, item purchased 12th August. I now for the life of me cannot contact Trade Me as their dispute email has closed off as after 45 days. The seeler has tens of trades not completed, yet Trade Me are still letting them trade. How do I contact Trade Me? I am going to complain to the Insurance Council and Consumer Affairs, as they do not resolve disputes and lie about the Buyer Protection guarantee. I am also considering filing a claim in the District Court to get my money back and sue Trade Me if they do not respond to this. The lack of support from Trade Me is dismal, people are bing ripped off from their sellers and they do not uphold their guarantees. Dispute number #344847.

Hi Larisa Trade Me have had long delays in resolving disputes recently due to a large backlog of unresolved disputes and they have failed to keep people properly informed of the progress of their dispute which they have acknowledged in a official comment here recently.
If I was you I would contact Trade Me Customer Support directly using the Live Chat option and get their help you will need to wait until after 9:30am when the Live Chat option is staffed see the operating hours below. To access the Live Chat option click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page or click on the link I have added below wait a few seconds and a blue circle will appear bottom right of the screen (see the screenshot below to view this) click on that and the new Trade Me Support Bot Tautoko will appear to quickly talk with a person rather than going through the list of automated Bot responses type in the message box talk to a person you will then be required to enter a few personal details after which you will be able to talk directly with someone from Trade Me Customer Support.

The Live Chat operating hours are Mon-Fri 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Sat-Sun 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Outside these hours you will only receive automated responses from the Bot.

Monday – Friday 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday – Sunday 9:30 am – 4:00 pmSeems strange that they closed the case. Did you get tracking? Possibly that says it was delivered to you?
Kind of doubt Insurance Council and Consumer Affairs would have any interest or responsibilities here. You could maybe initiate a Dispute Tribunal claim, but that costs. You would be best following up your claim on Live Chat first to see exactly why it was closed.

Ive had exactly the same problem and no email or disputes contact other then their working hours, which are my working hours.

You can leave a message Afterhours through the Live Chat facility, - Staff will pick this up during the manned hours and return email you. - If you put your Dispute ID# in the message, staff will pick your case up readily and you will have a chance to add any further information you need to. - If your dispute was closed this would have been done on the response from what the Seller has said - Once they know the facts from you it will be reopened. - Cheers.
