Seeing the listing date for your auction
AnsweredIs it no longer possible to see the time an auction was listed? I've just had an item close that I could have sworn I listed on Saturday (free selling) but I've been charged a fee for it. The only date I can find is it's closing time.

I can't recall ever seeing a start date on an auction. I have looked for it on occasion. However, If you did the standard 7 day auction it would close in 7 days that will give you the time it was listed? (Unless it sold) You could also see if it is in your listings I started in the last 24 hours emails if you have chosen to get them in your settings. That would give you the day it was listed.

Hi Kathryn if you suspect there has been a error with your listings closing date I would get in touch with the Trade Me Customer Support Team using the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page click on the link and wait a few seconds until a blue chat bubble appears at the bottom right of the screen click on it and you will then be able to chat with Trade Me Customer Support live refer to this link to the Live Chat option https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form
Give them your listing number and they will be able to quickly check and tell you the date and time that the listing was created.
The Live Chat operating hours are Mon-Fri 8 AM to 6:30 PM and Sat-Sun 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Hope this helps.

Kathryn, you can check the date and time your listing started by exporting your sold items from your sold folder.
https://www.trademe.co.nz/MyTradeMe/Export/MyListings.aspx?ListingType=Sold
If you open the downloaded CSV file with a spreadsheet, this has a field/column labelled start_date, so you can check in that column to verify like this.

Thanks Gary. Have just checked on the exported list and it was listed at 11:50pm last Saturday so will get in touch with trademe support.

Kia Ora Karl,
This is the Community Forum you are on here, we are members of TM just like yourself - we are not TradeMe staff. This community forum is in place for all members to help each other where we can.
You will need to look closely at the charges you have as per the provisions of the Free selling day Promotion criteria - For example it is stated 'Discount applies to success fees on general items only, any other applicable listing fees still apply.' - Please refer to your Free Selling email from TM to ascertain All regulations for this Promotion today.
Once you have checked your charges correctly, if there is still an issue you will need to contact a TradeMe staff member for assistance with this. - Cheers.
