A holiday banner would be nice
I import things I sell on here from overseas myself.
Meaning: I go away sometimes to buy more stock.
It's akward each time on TM as I have to add a comment to each auction and cross my fingers the buyers will see it.
If I go away for longer than a couple of weeks I stop all my listings but for a week or two I don't think it's necessary.
How about a banner like on Ebay at the top of the listings?

It's not recommended to advertise you are away ... exposing a vulnerable account and possible residence to scammers and burglars is not an ideal position to put oneself in - people scan for such opportunities - Stopping your listings during your absence is the safe option - Cheers.

Callum Community SuperuserGina if you are not able to dispatch your goods promptly you will be in breach of TradeMe T&Cs. So if you are doing that currently when you go overseas, even with a note, that's not a good look.
If TM do implement an official holiday policy like your suggestion then yes, you could do it.
On a personal level I do get annoyed when I see that banner on eBay. I'm pretty sure it gets abused a bit. I can tell some sellers aren't on holiday at all, but are using it as an excuse to delay shipping for whatever reason.
