Seller offered warranty, but is now ghosting me?
What do you do when professional seller on TradeMe offers a 1 year warranty in the terms of their auction, but then refuses all contact and has not published phone number to address failed item within warranty?
I can't file a report on my auction with TradeMe because it's been more than 45 days (I bought the item in May).
I have sent nearly a dozen emails to the vendor using the email address they contacted me on and they are not responding and it's been over 2 weeks now. I have also posted questions on their active auctions begging them to reply and they have not replied?
Where is TradeMe's support on this? If a vendor is clearly advertising a 1 year warranty in the auction description and then not honoring that AND they are continuing to trade, how am I supposed to get help from TradeMe?

Hi Sean. You can try contacting Trade Me via Live Chat.
But at the end of the day it might come down to a Disputes Tribunal claim. This is probably what Trade Me will tell you on chat. It all happens outside Trade Me but you will need to fill in a statutory declaration and file that with Trade Me to get the sellers address, if you don't already have it.
You will have to weigh up if the value of the item is worth the cost in doing a DT claim. Also don't forget you can change the feedback you left for the buyer, assuming you left some originally.

Kia Ora Sean,,
Yes! TradeMe do Support Faulty Goods claims
Beyond the 45 days for Faulty Goods you can report this Seller to TM as well as request assistance via their "Live Chat" facility. - Once you've selected the Contact us Chat Tab you need to give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
The 'Live Chat' manned hrs Monday - Friday are 8:am - 6:30pm & Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4:pm.
All the Best - Cheers
