How long before account top up appears?

Because it was a long weekend the bank will not roll out payment until some time today. And the time depends on which bank you are with. They sort them on business days only.

I made a bank payment on Saturday, it's now Tuesday and it's not showing.  I think that's really slack.  If they can take your money immediately then your payment should also be credited in the same time.  And no public holiday to blame this week.  

Unfortunately Belinda, bank payments are not instant. The bank takes your money instantly but doesn't pass it on to the receiver straight away. Usually weekend payments do show in the receivers account Tuesday morning, but depending on your bank, it might not be till after 9am. It's usually the banks, not Trademe that are holding things up.

New Zealand banks are behind the times compared to most banks overseas, and only process payments Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

However, from around April 2023, most of the big banks here will start processing payments 365 days a year.

Most other countries now have real time (instant) bank payments. There are plans to implement this in NZ eventually, but unfortunately there are no timescales yet.

Hi, I did a $100 topup on my account on the 10 March 2023 & if had not appeared. The bank has advised trade me has it. Where is it? I would like if refunded.

Bonnie, you would need to contact Trademe to get a refund. The other members that use these community pages can't help with that. Go to the Contact Us page to contact Trademe and once there, click the Help/Live Chat blue button bottom right. It's there now.
