Questions about Trade Me Stores

Quite a list there Valerie. I will answer a few things for you.
Free listings
(listing allowance before HVL fees apply). As a Store, you get a minimum of 150 free listings before you pay HVL fees. You only get free listings if you keep under 150 or under your allowance (based on sales as shown in your sales summary). If you list more than this you pay HVL fees on everything as you are listing more than your fee listings allowance.Needs attention
Presumably you are using My Products. If you get the Needs attention message and you go in to a product it will show you what Needs attention. It depends what that is as to what you can do about it. If it's a case of not being able to list as no funds in your account, I would suggest you turn on and set up Auto-Billing. That way your account goes in do debt and you can continue to list, then once a week TM do an auto top up to cover the fees you have spent for the last week. It's all automatic so you never have to remember to top up.Feature items
As a TM Store, yes you do get 10 Feature promotions a month included in your store fee for the first 12 months after you set up your store. If you check your account statement you should see these listed as free, although that promotion is only for the first 12 months. Talk to your store team and they may be able to help.Pay Now to Ping
Pay Now doesn't exist anymore, but the setup has now been utilised for Afterpay. Afterpay is a completely different setup to Ping and Afterpay is not a part of Trademe like Ping is, so cross top ups is unlikely to happen.Export / Import.
Have a read of the guide and info I wrote in this post.

You can choose Gallery Plus in your My Products listings and it's only 65c extra. You can easily set this up in bulk in MP.Hopefully others can share their thoughts to help you further.

Some good answers there from Gary.
Yes, I have never felt a store would have any benefits for me. I feel it is more useful for people who want to get their contact details out there more easily. It often suits "bricks 'n' mortar" stores that want to lure customers in for a browse of their other items that might not be listed on here. If you are finding that having a store doesn't gain you any particular benefits try ditching it for a period, monitor sales, and make a decision based on that.
For galley and gallery+ fees, generally I don't pay these ever. It's not like the really really old days where you had to pay galley fee to get a photo on search results. For your low value items (like I assume the patterns would be) paying a gallery fee on those wouldn't give you a sales benefit versus cost in my opinion. Again you can trial it. List 100 or so without gallery for a week or month, then do the same with gallery. Analyse if there was a sales increase for the gallery items that paid for the fee and increased your sell through.

Free listings -

Needs attention do they only bill once a week? not everytime you need credit as thats why Ive never done it I dont always remember to transfer funds between my accounts but 1ce a week I can cope with
Export / Import. - I am too scared to tackle this alone I am a very hands on learner and I will have alot of questions I'm happy to pay to get a good handle on this as it will make some global changes easier and listing far easier
Gallery Plus - Yes I know and because I believe in advertising I usually use it but because of my trading model things don't always sell quickly, and I never really know what the advertising cost will be so I'd like to pay a global one off fee say $1 sometimes I'll loose as it will sell in a day some time it will take a month but I would know my costs up front and I think there would be a demand for this. At the moment I have to control it manually off and on which takes time I am now only gallery plusing for three weeks.
I have lots more questions gary are you up for a 1 on one at a fair price what ever that is Thanks

Glad that helped somewhat.
Re HVLs, if you had 180 listings and your allowance is only 150, then you would pay 10c per 180 listings and if they were weekly listings, that would be $18 a week or $936 per year. If you are a top seller, due to rounding you get 2c back, so effectively 8c per listing for HVL fee.
With Auto-billing, they only bill once a week on a Thursday. Tuesday they send out an email advising what amount they will be taking from your bank acc on Thursday. Set and forget. 1 banking transaction a week.
Gallery Plus, not sure how worth it is these days as things look so different depending on how the buyer is looking eg mobile App, Mobile site, Desktop site etc. Best thing is to try for a month, see how it goes, try without for a month and see if there is any difference.
I've been giving help and tips for many years including speaking a few times at TM Top Seller evenings back when they used to run those, but I've never charged. Am happy to help if I can, so just get in touch and we can arrange something.

One of the big disadvantages of a Store as I see it is that they have not been adequately migrated to the new site. They still use the old Store directory listing page, and still use the old individual store home page and there is no facility on the store's listings page to save the store to get new listings from them like there is for all other members on the new site. The only option to save the store to get new listings is from within the listing itself or on the old site store landing page you get to when you click on Stores other listings, and both these ways default to send me listings every day, not customisable frequency like for every other member.
Buyers visiting a store listings and going back to their other listings are continually swapped from old to new site which causes delays.
If I try and adjust the frequency of a Stores listing emails, I can't get there from the old site as it keeps giving me a blank error page as below from the link https://www.trademe.co.nz/Link.aspx?i=57036 . Most other numbered links seem to work quickly and correctly, but not this one. Only way for me to do it is from the new site, which is extremely slow in loading favourites.
