What to do in this situation?
Answereda buyer bought 2 items from me and a different address was sent for each of the two items which I didn't realise at the time. The buyer emailed me and asked if I would combine postage and added the address below in their email.
Normally when someone adds an address to send the items to in their email I will quickly check on trade me to see if the address matches, if it doesn't I add a note next to the listing to remind myself that when I book the courier pick up to change the address. Now unfortunately I had opened the listing where the address was in fact the same as the one they mentioned in the email, and I didn't realise the other listing they bought from me had a different address, so of course I didn't add a note to change the address when shipping. When I booked a courier collection the next day I had booked it through the listing that had the wrong address.. the parcel has already been delivered. I know this was my fault, so i'd like to find a solution. If I were to let NZ Post know, would they possibly be able to retrieve the parcel or is there no hope of getting it back?

Kia Ora Leone,
An easy mistake to make as you were asked for combined post and the Buyer emailed you 1 address which matched that you had on TM from them! - This sounds rather like you may have been mislead by the Buyer from their combined post request.
Did both items go to your Buyer or an associate of theirs? I would apologise to your Buyer for the mix up there then request they / or their associate repack the incorrectly delivered item to return to you so can resend it out correctly. - Provide them your return address and book your own courier for pick up retrieval - Communicating with your Buyer when this will be and where to leave the parcel out for the courier to collect.
Whilst it will cost you a separate shipping fee, with good communication all is not lost - your Buyer should be very understanding how their request for combined shipping has caused this confusion here and I would certainly state Combined shipping is not applicable to items being sent to separate addresses.
I am sorry to hear this has happened to you. - All the Best - Cheers.

Sometimes buyers just make things so damn difficult! And they have no idea, no idea at all the trouble they cause.
I don't know what you do here, I guess you email them and let them no whats up, (They may be happy to just pop over to other address and collect it - job done).
I hope you can get this sorted out with out to much trouble - best of Luck!

Thanks S and Simom, luckily the buyer was very understanding and we were able to sort it out. Someone was able to go to the address and collect the parcel.
