Buyer wants me to refund before sending goods back
Answered-
Got it back, don’t know how but the damn thing is dead, first time that’s ever happened. Looks like someone gets a refund after all. Slightly annoyed at spending $30 shipping a dead thing over the country, but thats no one’s fault - win some, lose some. Thanks all for the advice

Thanks, I missed that bit about a not as described dispute, I’ll let them know they need to ship back. Happy to pay for shipping, tho to be honest I don’t think it’s faulty, that’ll be the next fun thing

Hope it all works out ok for you. :) At least, IF they return it and it's functioning you can blacklist them and sell again. Stick to your guns about refund only on return of item. Keep your email chain just in case they lodge a dispute. These things are blinkin' nuisance.

It's in buyer protection policy. there is quite a bit of reading there!....https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007001732-Buyer-Protection-policy
They are supposed to return it in the same condition to get a refund. See the bit about return shipping below (you will have to pay for it tho'). No point keeping it if it doesn't work right?
Return shipping
Normally for a not as described dispute, you must return the item to the seller. We expect sellers to cover the cost of return shipping, and for you and the seller to work together in good faith to get the item returned

Dave, even though this is an online sale. It's based on the same principles as if it were a retail space on the high street. If they wish for a refund, then they must return the goods first in doing so. I've had similar issues with buyers damaging the goods, swapping parts out and not sending the goods at all. So you live and learn, but no goods, no refund. Advise them of the terms and conditions of T.M. Sellers do have rights also. ;)

Yo, is it normal for a buyer to sort of threat you? Because i have had a thing with this buyer and he has like hacked someones anz acc to send me money and then my acc was blocked and now hes asking why my iphone 11 doesnt have cameras when i already mentioned its for parts only. They are now trying to report me to trademe or atleast try to threat me to report to trademe. Their TM account is also banned

Kia Ora Foxtly,
I have followed your story in earlier Post Comments and my gosh there's a lot going on for you over that Trade. - https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/community/posts/7364254861583/comments/8944634800399
If your Buyer has Hacked another Member's account to pay you & their account has been banned TradeMe are already onto them therefore they are most likely not going to report you!
I think in your situation and the given circumstances you are Best to Report this to TradeMe yourself - Staff will be grateful of further information as they investigate this person. - You are probably best to block their emails from your email account and follow TM Staff's advice coming forward.
You can contact TM staff through "Live Chat" - select the Contact us Link at the bottom of any TM page, give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once the Chat icon is selected - Talk to person - you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff.The manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmI hope you have access granted to your Bank account today. - All the Best - Cheers.0 -

Alright so i just got another thing that basically relates to this. I got a buyer that bought one of my items a macbook air 2017 when i was selling the screen looked okay no scratches when it got to the buyer he told me it was faulty and i didnt think much about it until i got a trademe message saying i needed to contact the buyer and resolve this. I contacted him and said that i could send him another macbook air screen which he obviously agreed to. Before i sent that screen i checked it carefully if it had any cracks with a torch and it seemed that there was nothing bad. (I didnt take photo for proof that time, didnt think of it) when the item got the the buyer by the name of Adam. He showed me. Photo that it was faulty and said i wasnt being honest and mucking around with him. I said i wasnt and it was maybe the courier that got it broken. He replied me that i was dishonest and said that i knew it was broken and me trying to blame the courier. Which i didnt try to do. At the end we resided to me buying an item of him 300 dollars when i sold the mac to him for 250dollars. I told him by email that i didnt have much money and i’ll pay him off withins a month time. He agreed. I payed him 100 on the first day and said i can try pay him another 100 the next fortnight. He agreed to that. Then suddenly today he send me message that i HAD to send him 200 otherwise he reports me again. It hasnt been a week since i sent him that first 100 what should i do??

When adam got the mac he told me that it didnt fit the description and i thought yeah i forgot to put that screws were missing and not think much until now. I read the buyer policy a bit. Am i supposed the get the items back before i refund him the rest 200? Because i dont want be scammed by him. I read his recent sales and the he has blamed the courier for a item that he didnt send
