What are the red flags when buying

So this is a pick-up item? Firstly I assume they had a condition on their auction that you could only pick-up after you made a deposit. If that wasn't clearly stated, you don't have to deposit anything. Insist on cash payment on pick-up (provided they have cash as a payment option).
A change of email is no big deal really, especially if they last traded 3 years ago. But saying "I don't check emails" seems ridiculous. You simply cannot trade on here if you don't have a valid email address and can check it.

Correct pickup item only & no conditions of payment on the auction.
I do note however they didn’t have payment instructions set up with acc details & they did get sent through the next day along with being updated on the app in payment instructions with the payment condition added in that.
Only condition in the description was collected before the end of this week.
Yes I did think that part was abit odd to not check emails.
I’ve gone ahead & given them the benefit of the doubt, did as they asked made payment will see how the trade goes & update on the situation.0
