Don't want Ping as a payment option

Yes its tick the box for the bank account payment and untick the ping payment box. Really sneaky. Trade me should sort this out.

They were informed back in 2020. When they first allegedly illegally forced it on members. When I had a couple of listings have Ping placed on them, by unknown to me sources, with the buyers paying with Ping. I couldn't be bothered complaining. Since I've done that before earlier this year. When they told me that "I must have done it". So when I withdrew the money, I had $105.69 credited to my account for sales of $105.50 !!!

It takes less than a minute to do this in My Products using the bulk edit - Payment methods option and unticking the Ping box, then put in what payment methods you want, and select update current listings where possible.

Absolutely disgusting the way Ping swallows your money. Tried several times today to get answers from Trademe, what a nonsense. As for Ping, their default for accepting bank account details refuse entry because of they don't recognize the way a BNZ or ANZ bank account is written (4 sets of 4 numbers ). I am frustrated and angry.

Lynda, the payment options is something you specify per listing, so you can't edit them in bulk to remove it as an option unless you are listing using My Products. If listing through the normal methods, just make sure to untick Ping when you get to the payment options page.

I have used ping in some of my listings, now its automatic on new listings I can manually take ping off each listing though

It is possible to remove Ping from all your listings, but purchasing is another story but more a headache for the seller than the buyer

You shouldn't even have the option to make customers pay by bank deposit. What other marketplace or business even does this it is so much fluffing around for a customer who just want to click and buy. Transactions need to be kept in the marketplace as it saves both the customer and seller time and protects them from all sorts of things that could go wrong.
