Refund for over paid shipping
AnsweredI would really like to see success fees refunded automatically when a seller refunds a buyer over paid shipping. I seem to be getting a lot of buyers lately who are paying excess shipping, either by choosing the wrong option for their location, or paying shipping for every item, when they should have selected $0 combined. Please cut down the admin time for sellers who refund shipping.

I don't think we are going to get this feature soon, I believe TM is not even thinking of implementing this feature. This manual request for partial success fee refunds has been around since day 1 if I'm not wrong.

Ha ha. Day 6,953 :) I'd give you an up-vote Gary but I didn't want it to look like I was agreeing to charging fees on shipping.

Dont think TM will make it super easy to get back sussess fees on partial shipping refunds. A/ its likely some will abuse it. b/ TM would prefere to keep the fees so make it tricky to get it back hoping people will not be arsed to do it

There's no auto system, so you just need to email Trademe using the Contact us link at the bottom of any page on here. I have to ask for a refund every now and again and do this. They get back to you in a few days with the refund.

Hi Kirsten. Just go in the the auction that has been paid by Ping, either through your sold items, ot the link from your Ping acc, emails, Trademe account and on that page click the Refund button.
Another window will pop up giving you a box to change the refund amount if you need to, to 5.50 etc as example below.
