Transferring part of your Ping balance?

Hi there, at the moment it is only possible to withdraw your full Ping balance to your bank account - the good news is we do have plans to change this, so keep an eye out! You can top up your Trade Me account using your Ping balance before withdrawing, but if you wanted to use Ping balance to pay for purchases, then you would need to top up at the time.

A year on, is this still being looked at and "plans to do so" not in place yet?
Its quite frustrating not to have that option.

Hi Glenn and Emily. Thanks for commenting here about that feature. This is something that we would like to add to Ping in the future however I'm afraid I don't have an update on when that might be.

Ok, that was 2 years ago. Again I am wanting to transfer the bulk of my Ping balance to my bank account and again I do not see a way to do this. I want to make a partial transfer. Urgently.

You go through 'My TradeMe' -> Manage Ping -> Transfer out - to set the bank account to transfer out to up. TM will put .01cent into your chosen bank account with a code - TM Trust & Safety will email you for this code so they are assured the account is correct, await that email once you've set up the Transfer out to account, reply with the code in your Bank statement next to the 0.1cent.

You can set up Automatic or Manual transfers out - Refer to  Ping account for further info' - Cheers.

What a pity TradeMe didn't answer my similar question when I asked it 5 days ago, the difference being that I wanted to transfer out only the bulk of my Ping balance and not all of it. Not knowing how to do it or even if could be done (a partial withdrawal) caused me a lot of grief. I couldn't do it in the end and had to withdraw it all, just what I didn't want to do.

The amount of people who want to withdraw partial amonts of their ping balance is much greater than the number represented in this chat. 3 years ago you said you were going to do it.
It would not take a coder long to add that option.
Quit dragging your feet and make it happen.
Poor customer service to promise and not deliver.
