How do I change my username and name?

You can change your name on your profile by yourself, but you'll need to ask Trademe if you want to change your membername. Have a read of the Help pages here concerning changing your membername and other details, specifically the section

Hi Mike. You can't usually change your membername, but it's easy to make your account In Trade, or if you current account is a personal one, you can have an additional In Trade account. Just clear it with Trademe first. In special circumstances Trademe will change a membername, but you need to ask them, as it's not something you can do yourself.

Donna, the success fees are just the same, although private memberships often get offered success fee free days and half price fees etc and don't pay success fees on delivery costs if it's stated in the listing. You can't change your membername yourself and generally Trademe don't change them either, but it has happened so might be worth asking them. I would start your new account that you want for business now, but as a personal account, then contact Trademe and ask if they can swap them over from in trade to personal. They don't usually do this, but no harm in asking.

Winston, you need to edit your post as it's not allowed to put contact details on here, plus it opens you up to scammers. If you read further up on this page you will see the links to the help pages mentioned to click on to take you through the process, although not sure what part of your profile you need to edit.

Basically, you can't change your membername without asking Trademe and under special circumstances they may do it, but anything else on your profile can be changed eg photo, your name, handle, about info, etc etc which is all on your existing profile page with clicks there to edit.

Hi I accidently left the s off the end of our member name. As its our business name Is there anyway to have the changed so It reads correctly. I tried filling in the change member name form but it wouldnt accept the corrected name? Thanks

Member names can only be edited/changed by TM staff - if your form request doesn't go through in the morning you can Contact TM staff direct for assistance - Cheers.
