How to Negotiate a Sale
AnsweredA prospective buyer asked if we would negotiate if the listing didn't sell. We are happy to negotiate but don't know how. How do you do that? We've made a fixed price offer in the meantime but if it's not accepted, what then?

The only way to negotiate a sale is on the listing when it's live eg buyer asks a question on the auction if you would accept $500 as a Buy Now as they want it in a hurry, you say yes or no and go back and forwards until you both agree on a price. Then you edit the auction to the Buy Now price as agreed. Buyer presses Buy Now, Done.
Re your fixed price offer. You could withdraw the fixed price offer and relist it in the hope the previous buyer might come along and ask a question. They will either get an email when it relists, or they can see it in their lost items that it's been relisted.
