FPO accepted, buyer backs out of sale
AnsweredI had an item that didn't sell at auction and I offered it out to all 19 watchers. One watcher accepted the FPO immediately but has now advised they purchased by accident!!!!, because the item won't fit. Unfortunately this now stops me making a sale from this auction, Is it possible to offer to remaining watchers? Or do I have to start the whole auction process off again? Its incredibly frustrating that this can happen

Unfortunately Kerry, you will need to start the whole process again. Don't forget to click in to the auction and get a fee refund for the FPO that's not going to be completed.

Out of the blue we have aFPO accepted and they want to collect. This is not through Trademe. How did they get my email? Is this an authentic offer?

Hi Colin. If it's not someone you know or have traded with before that will of course have your contact details, and you have no matching sale in your sold folder with the reference number they are quoting, then best to ignore the email and block it. Check or search in your emails for their Trademe membername or email address to see if you've traded before.

Hi Colin, is the person in contact who wants to collect the same as the person who has accepted the fixed price offer? If so, it has gone through Trade Me and that will be how they got your email address. If not and this is someone else, you already have an agreement with the person that accepted the offer so that will be the one to go ahead with.
If you want some more advice about this or for one of the team to take a look into this for you a bit further, hit us up on Live Chat.
