How to find my Won items list history
AnsweredHi there.
How do you find past items that you have won?
After a short time, they disappear from the list.
No other similar platform does this.

You need to rely on your emails as Trade Me trading history is not kept past 45 days.

Thats plain stupid!
Any idea why?

It's always been like that on here. I presume it's so you can't just go on Trademe, click in to your previous purchases and email the seller from the link there for another purchase and avoid fees. Most people keep their emails anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Well the same can be said for our feedback list then as after a certain period of time you cant click on the listing item number or see the price of it.

Yes, unfortunately there is no consistency. Prices show in feedback on Auctions for 45 days, but not on Buy Now only listings or on buyers feedback unless it's your own, only on sellers. Clickable links to the listings only show on your own feedback or on sellers feedback page, not on buyers.

Hi Mark. If there is a particular listing you'd like to look up, you can enter the listing number (which you might have on an email) into the search bar. Otherwise, if you have no record of the listing number, feel free to contact us on email or chat and we can find that for you.

And what happens when one can't find that email? I know I didn't delete it, but every search word I use to find it comes up empty.

Ho Toyia
Towards the end of 2019 Trademe changed from saying Congratulations on winning to Congrats on winning, in the email a buyer receives when they win an auction by bidding, so searching for congrats, since it's not a real word, should bring up all your won item emails since then.
If it was earlier than that, search for Congratulations.
If it was a Buy Now purchase, search for Purchase confirmation0 -
Yea absolutely useless and inept by trademe what a joke.

Hi Ben, as mentioned above, if you don't have the listing number for the auction you've won, reach out to our Customer Experience team with the information you do have and they will help find the details of the listing

Thanks for all of the above questions and possible explanations but Trademes platform isnt that user friendly anymore especially when up to 10% percent of your sold purchase goes to them i would expect to be able to look up items won as their are sometimes details of the item itself needing reference of. Going into your email trying to find trade me congrats or congratulations info is more of a hassle than convenient in my experience..

But yet trademe what youve lost items stay for always. I agree it is silly i would rather my history in what ive won stay for always than what ive lost.

In fact Margy, items in your Lost folder drop off after 45 days, just like they do in your won or sold folders.

No infact that is not a fact. I would not have stated such if it was other than.

Oh, that's a strange one. What date is the oldest item in your Lost folder Margy? Mine has only ever gone back 45 days. On the old system mine matches the new system and both show oldest item closed Jan 19th, which is 45 days ago.

Sold, Unsold and Won are all archived after 45 days on your Trade Me account. Lost items also drop from your My Trade Me page at 45 days.
If you need to get the listing details of anything you've Won or that you've listed which has been archived, and you can't find the info on your confirmation emails, you can check out this Help page on how to request an account summary.-1 -
I won an auction and when I went to my WON listings the lot had disappeared. What is going on Trade Me? I want to pay for the listing as this is an internet banking payment and now the details have completely disappeared. Also unlike former times when we received an instant email from TMe advising of our won and sold auctions, I have received nothing for the 2 auctions I won tonight. Luckily one was payable by uPing so I did that instantly. The other as I say disappeared. I do not want to lose this trade so come on TMe, what’s going on???

Hi Kallum, one of our reps on Live Chat will be able to grab those details for you since it is just one listing that you're after. 🙂

I purchased an oil pourer from the Tool Factory, which did not have the item in stock. It took 57 days and numerous emails to get the item. I wanted to give negative feedback (first time ever in over 20 years on Trade Me) to warn other buyers but Trade Me deleted my purchase history after 45 days. This policy means Trade Me effectively support bad businesses while they profit from the listing. Not happy.

Kia Ora Chris,
Sorry to read of your experience with that trade,
Yes! Listings are archived after 45 days from the item close/purchase date - if a trade is nearing the 45 days it pays to place a feedback even if it says - Item not yet received - Once feedback is placed it can be edited when the trade is resolved or not anytime proceeding the 45 days though it can only be changed the once.
Same if you are needing to file a Dispute resolution - to be eligible for Buyer Protection the dispute must be filed within 30 days of the Listing closing Otherwise for Internet Banking or Cash deposits dispute resolutions can be filed within the full 45 days of the Listing closing - unless the item is faulty which is given leeway of within a reasonable timeframe - Nearing that 30 or 45 day cutoff it pays to file a dispute resolution which can be cancelled if the trade is resolved.
Sellers can still be reported to TradeMe staff beyond the 45 day cutoff through the "Live Chat" facility enabling staff to note the Seller's account accordingly and towards any account restrictions which may be deemed necessary.
All the Best with future Trades - Cheers.
