people not leaving feedback
I have a beef about most people Don't leave feedback once my item has sold, even though I do remind them and I am very quick with feedback on them, however, they are very slow or never place feedback, Why can't TM give reminders to these people that either forget, refuse or just don't do it, until they give feedback. as it is good for one it should be good for all.

Trademe do actually send out reminder emails, as below, but there is also a link there to unsubscribe from reminder emails.

Kia Ora Grant, I hear you & it does go both ways - many Sellers don't feedback either, is it laziness Or are people just so busy Or ......?
Tis the old adage = You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
You just have to shrug it off & be grateful for the positive feedback you do get - On the flip side at least those Buyers aren't leaving negative feedback either - Cheers.

I just wish they feedback page would show some kind of record for the auctions without feedback. I know there are some occasions I choose not to leave feedback as I was a little unhappy with the trade but not enough to leave a negative or neutral but not wanting to leave positive either but presumably most of the times people don't bother with feedback is because they're happy with the trade.
I estimate my successful trades are nearly twice the number that had feedback placed. It would be nice to be able to show I've had my actual number of successful trades, not just the number with feedback. Even if just to know that number myself after all these years...0 -
Because of the amount I buy and sell on TradeMe I have a feedback day, which is the 1st of every month. I place feedback for everything from the previous month all at once to save time. I do know what you're talking about though with many people never placing feedback. I'm pretty sure my feedback star rating would be almost double what it is now had every person placed feedback. Before the days of parcel tracking, I wouldn't even know that a buyer had received the package.

It feels like things are different in trade me now, Ive just sold a car and want to place feedback but can’t find where it has gone?
Any help would be much appreciated, the buyer has already placed feedback on me and he deserves a smiley face.
thank you

Kia Ora Diane, sorry I can't help you with answer but I recommend you create a Post for this question - I feel you may get seen faster & by more who are able to assist you, asking within a Post you may only get seen by Post creator & Commenters within the Post initially - All the Best - Cheers :o)

Diane, as the buyer has placed feedback it means it is an auction, rather than a classified where feedback is not able to be placed. This makes it easy to place feedback as you can either go to the sold auction in your items I won page and depending on what system you are using, there is either a button there that says Place feedback, or you will need to click in to the listing to see the link to place feedback, Or, you can click on your own feedback page and there is a link there to the listing that you can click on to take you to the sold item where there is a link to place feedback.
There is a filter on your sold items to select any sold items that need feedback here....
https://www.trademe.co.nz/MyTradeMe/Sell/Sold.aspx?filter=feedback_to_place
You have 45 days since the close of the auction to place feedback.

Thank you, I found it eventually but it looks that I have left it too late for some of my sellers.
At least I was able to give my buyer feedback. I think logging off and then on again took me to the part of trade me I was familiar with!
Thank you again for your help,

I was about to post about this issue as well of the last 20 items ive sold only two people have left feedback its discouraging as seller with a small business as im relying on the feedback to make sure items and postage are as my nearest post shop closed i now drive an hour to the next closest one to post and as i feel guilty for not posting the next day after items are sold i take money from my pocket to pay for courier post or fast post to get there items to them quicker i post feedback once item is paid for and posted but im almost at the point of giving up selling as i have no idea that my products have been received and in good condition it also affects my own rating as im not getting the feedback

I'm sure Nathan that if your buyers have not received their items, they would get in touch and/or leave feedback. I'm the same as you and place feedback to confirm when collected or sent. TM do give buyers and sellers a reminder to place feedback after 2 weeks, but many must delete the email and then forget.

Kia Ora Nathan, just a suggestion - you could use the TM book a courier to save you time & fuel cost - an hr 1 way or 1/2hr so 1hr all up or 2? Save your pocket mate plus the courier system emails buyer with tracking number & depending on courier used NZ Post send buyer frequent updates like 'We have collected your parcel' & 'Good News - We expect to deliver your parcel today' - with the buyer receiving multiple emails they are less likely to forget to place feedback for you if this is cause - Cheers.

I put feedback on almost immediately I receive the item. Iam a buyer, not a seller and find it most annoying that the seller either cant be bothered or whatever. I have quite a few on my list that have not put up feedback.

When I sell an Item I put feedback on buyer as soon as there part in the trade is done, but when I buy an Item I pay for it straight away and complete my part in the transaction the seller seems to wait for me to post feedback first. This seems wrong to me like sellers are keeping their options open just in case they get negative feedback.
To me If a person Buys and pays for item, their side of the transaction is complete and they should receive feedback straight away even before item is sent. I get annoyed that my part is not acknowledged until I like there Item.

Some sellers wait until they're confident the customer will have received the item to place feedback, that way their feedback can serve as a reminder to the customer to then place their own as everything is complete. I've experimented with feedback time and find my best rate of seller feedback comes when I do this.
The other thing is sellers with a high rate of sales can mass leave feedback and often do so every few days or even once a week, as they're juggling so many different tasks.0
