Is this a scam?
Has any one seen this before? I had a listing up on a no fees charged day, within a day some one made an offer(not through questions and answers), it was like a buy now type of thing which I clicked on to accept. There was an email address which I replied to, and gave my details.Trade me sent me a "your item was sold" email. After 3 days, no reply, sent another email, after 2 days no reply, sent a 3rd email, no reply. I went back to the trade me listing, this time there was different email address for the buyer,(weird), emailed that address after 3 days still no reply. Next thing I get an email from trade me telling me to relist my item! I haven't spoken to trade me about this, how do they know my item didn't sell? Is this trade me scamming us over "free selling"?

Kia Ora Brett,
It sounds like TradeMe may have just saved you from a rogue player there.
As this was part of the free Listing fees which has fallen through you are Best to contact a staff member direct to discuss manually inputting the free fee on this particular Listing for you when you Relist it. - I can't guarantee this will happen.
To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened in a New conversation - Talk to person - and you are taken to entering a few details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter your Listing number in the Chat window here enabling staff to pull it up readily. The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmI can confirm the Chat is manned now 19 April 2025 - Cheers.0
