Trade Me Messages feature retiring? Does this mean people can't as questions related to items?
AnsweredDoes this really mean people can't ask questions? or have I misunderstood?
This wont do us any good, I can see only headaches coming from this for sellers. We sell parts and customers often need to contact us in relation to ensure its correct for the model/year etc.
If this is what it is, our last date of trade "here" is set for the 17th.

Kia Ora Shane,
This refers to the Message system which enables Buyers & Sellers to text after a successful purchase is made. - The Q&A Feature & Emailing after a successful Win is remaining - Cheers.

Then why is it not explained like that? I assumed Q&A was considered a msg?

Hi Shane. As S has said above. Messaging is going. Q & A is remaining. They are two totally different things. Q & A has been on trade me since it began and is staying because it's very necessary. Messaging via the apps was introduced only few years ago, not used by everyone and is going.
So you don't have to worry about not getting questions :)

Ok, thank you. I deleted the app some time ago because it really didn't work well at all, so all good then.

Brilliant news that they are getting rid of the stupid messaging system.
I 99.9% use a desk top to access Trade Me - I only see messages on the App. It got so bad as I was "missing" messages that I stated on Payment Instructions that I do not use the messaging service, please communicate via email. People still don't read ...
