Buyer contacting me after pulling out of trade
AnsweredHi, I had a buyer pull out of trade, I felt negative feedback and now they've emailed me from more than one email address trying to get me to change the feedback and saying they'll leave negative feedback for me if I don't. I really don't appreciate this contact from them and I'm wondering if I can escalate this to Trademe to deal with? I don't want any more contact with this individual. I have blacklisted them.

It is clearly feedback black mail, which TM look at in a poor light. From the TM feedback policy "As outlined in our code of conduct, members should not replace retaliatory feedback. " It maybe best not to mention this to them as otherwise they may manuipulate the wording of the negative to make it look as though its not retaliatory. But if they go ahread with it, you can do a feedback dispute with TM and you have the email to show TM that it is retalatory.

Kia Ora Kay,
Sorry to read you are being harassed by a previous Buyer who has actually pulled out of their purchase on you,
As Don says, this is a form of blackmail which is actually worth reporting to TradeMe staff. - An early warning may prevent this behaviour from being extended to other Members and may not be the first report of this nature by the Buyer either - staff will be able to note the account accordingly.
The Buyers code also states "Not to subsequently spam previous sellers." - it reads like you have been through the use of multiple email address's, all of which you can block on your email client, preventing further.
Take copies/screenshots of your received emails & attach with your report to TradeMe staff, include the Listing number ensuring staff can pull this up readily. Also ensure all email address's used by the Buyer are presented to TradeMe enabling them to investigate all potential accounts thoroughly.
All the Best! - Cheers.
