Harsher feedback recently?

I have noticed a change, not so much harsher feedback's, but just not getting feedback's at all. It used to be that rough 60-65% of trades would result in a feedback, now it only feels like 35% - 45% people are not bothering.
Which makes it harder if you do get a red or blue face, because you used to be able to bury them quite quickly under a torrent of happy faces. (We have 5 blue and 0 red).
I think you are quite right to take feedback personally, especially if you have genuinely tried to make a big effort for your clients and it goes unappreciated.
You are talking about Callum's idea for a checklist, I like this one too, I imagine it working the same way as Ebay, where they would have to rate each aspect of the trade to be able to leave a red face or a blue - Something like this -
Quality of Description = 5 Stars
Quality of Photos = 5 Stars
Condition of product = 5 Stars
Packing and Delivery = 1 Star
-So in this scenario the red face or blue would be given for Packing & Delivery.
Sorry you have had a bad week Leone, we find the same thing on our shop floor with the Google Reviews, nothing but good stuff for weeks, then boom! 3 Negative ones in row for different things on different days. It just seems to be the way it happens, but you will bounce back!

Just had a red face with a statement 'All good'.... It doesn't make any sense...

W: This happens sometimes when people are placing feedback on the app. Sometimes they accidentally bump the red face when they'd meant to leave a yellow. I've had it happen about four times on trademe. You can ask the trader to update it (they're usually very apologetic) or send a feedback dispute to trademe who will switch it to yellow for you.

Feedback system is totally Broken, my last negative is total lies, very defamatory, and she has edited it,
they even tried to retaliate before getting their parcel, as used message board, but would not work, but worked about a week later, yet look at their shocking feedback,
but these days Trade Me do nothing, so offenders do it again& again to others knowing they can get away with it,
But Trade Me need to wake up, what they are doing is rewarding bad behaviour by not removing bad untruthful feedback & punishing the good trader by not removing it, yet some can be damaging and hurtful,
Sending in E-Mail communication is a waste of time as very evident they do not even read it?, I think they are just over worked they just flick of a standard response now, It is so so wrong what they are doing, Evidence clearly there, even ignoring their own code of conduct, when also retaliatory?
a response on my feedback from buyer not sent on 29th that is a lie too, with nasty harmful comments,
yet I used trade Me book a Courier,Trade Me can see if they take time and actually check.
clear evidence she is lying?, No they do not even investigate. Shocking from Trade Mes part. seems to be the same staff members too, are they just too lazy to read and cannot be bothered?,
just had a seller rip me off on other account, all photos etc. forwarded to Trade Me after I raised concerns with seller with no joy,
Disputes contacted them & within hours Bam I get undeserved negative feedback, yet I have done nothing wrong, once again Trade Me do not care, yet seller very dishonest, auction very misleading, they have all the photos etc. Seriously Trade Me needs to up their game,

Trademe now have a very restrictive set of conditions for feedback removal.
Theres about 4 or 5 suggestions & thats all they care about.
Yes, had a few more then normal bad feedback & grumpy emails turning up in the last couple of months.
Some are grumpy because they paid on Friday & didn't get their item on Monday (Seriously ... yes)
Some are pick ups & when they can't dictate time & day, they slap a red face on you.0 -
There's another problem where bad feedback matters less now, now that there is no longer a percentage for feedback. Also, when listing, I would like to also like to disallow high bad feedback users from bidding the same that we do for non-authenticated users!

Not quite sure Dave what you mean by ... there is no longer a percentage for feedback? As has always been the case, every member has their % of positive feedback displayed on any listing they are selling beside their actual feedback number.

OK, I see what you mean but two things. 1. That only shows on sellers. Buyers should also be viewable without so needing to go looking which leads to my next point. 2. It used to be next to every buyers feedback number with a percentage. Now if I want to see if a buyer is ok or not, I have to go into each ones feedback and have a look. Too much effort!

Hmm, I don't recall it ever showing a % beside a buyers feedback? What page was that on?

The feedback effective ratio is also very harsh with bad/ red feedback.
1 bad feedback on your ratio, can take a few hundred good feedback to even up the percentage again.
It's almost like 1 bad feedback equals 100 good feedback0
