P Number search still broken
WHEN ...
Is the P number search system going to be integrated in to the New TM format.
This situation is only made worse now because TM is enforcing the new website on me everytime I open Tm on my computer.
This means that I have to Restart the whole process by going to the bottom of the page, "Click Desktop" and re-click the old website links to get an OLD page so the P Number search works.
WHY ... can't this be fixed?
It's a real pain because all TM bank deposits bear the P Number, (At TM's insistence via payment instructions), making it time consuming when checking/ cross referencing who has paid.

Now that we have KP numbers along with P numbers, I suspect eventually everything will change over to those.
If that's the case I guess is that means it might never be fixed? Not much point fixing something if it's going to become obsolete.
I know it's a pain, but for me I just search my email for the P number, then link through to Trade Me from that.

Kia Ora Donal,
The new system is replacing the P numbers with a KP number - as the upgrade continues across more categories you will start to see this - Cheers.

Yep but as you know, the original P number listing details don't always match up to the buyers email address or even their name.
Either way, TM NEED to get this sorted a lot faster then previous history.
The new site looks pretty, but is costing me at least 4 times more work to do the same exact job.
Pretty yes, faster = Yea NAH ...,
It's at least 4 more clicks per listing function, multiply that by what ever number of functions you need to do per listing.
A great example is the two listing systems
Std listing system verses My Products = 7 page clicks verses One page1 -
This is getting really bad, trademe has now locked me out of accessing the desktop version of my sold items on my personal profile and with no search function on the sold items in the new look trademe,i mow have several items been paid forthat should have been packed tonight but there is no longer anywhere on trademe i can put the p reference in to find what auctions the payments are for,not to mention having a couple of traders bought several items over the last couple of weeks for both pickup and combined shipping and now i cant search their username in my sold items to find out what they have won.
As someone who is running their personal profile hard out selling off my mums estate and decluttering my excess stuff as well as running a intrade profile selling for a living, this is making selling a nightmare,at least they havent forced intrade sellers into a non workable new look trademe yet but if they do so without changing these things its going to make managing my sales nigh on impossible.
If its not broken dont fix it,make it look pretty and modern if you want but dont remove the functions and features that enable sellers to manage their trades fast and efficiently, its only a matter of time before i start receiving negative feedback for being slow to send stuff because trademe has made it impossible for me to identify payments

Hello dixie. You might want to look into My Products. Especially if you are running a business account as well. You will find everything becomes much easier :) Create a listing on a single page. A searchable sold tab with all the info you need to identify members and payments. And much more good functionality.

Callum, As you know, I do use and advocate for the My Products usage.
I haven't used the old basic lister in any form for many years as I see it being a complete waste of space and time for anything.
The only reason I can get around the P number search problem apart from having access to the old website (desktop function) is because I have to print all my sales and I can manually search for specific details offline from TM.
BUT, Printing takes about 20 more clicks on the "upgraded TM", to achieve the same single printed page that I was getting on the old website AND now don't get the photo printed on that page.
There is nothing better for me as a seller about this new website other then it looks pretty and considering my experience covers 24 years, it's a pretty sad comment2 -

David, since you use MP, you can search for the P number there in the keyword search box on the MP sold tab. You can also search by item title, membername and anything else like in the std sold folder, although like you, I still use the std sold folder search as it's quicker, shows more relevant detail all on the one search results page without additional clicks.

Gary, Yep, the std old webpage search is faster for so many reasons, and thats my point, the old site was a lot faster/ cleaner/ better tools (drop down menus work really well for accuracy and speed) but not as pretty.
The old site was also hosted mostly in NZ, Lag is a real problem now with Google servers1
