How can contact Trade Me, I need help to contact a buyer

In many cases for won items trademe actively denies buyers visibility of the details for them so they cannot contact the sellers or see the payment & postage information. Since this does not appear to buyers they often are denied access to raise cases to trade me about these listings as the help forms and contact us pages are designed in a way to deny access to raise issue tickets or contact trademe for support.

These kind of obstructive design & hostile design patterns often are used by companies to reduce the customer service and ignore bugs and faults. The use of AI bots also adds an obstructive layer and since the bots cannot understand language or what a software bug is and only regurgitate help articles that are completely useless they present yet another barrier to being able to raise a case to trademe. More obstructive design means trademe cannot be trusted to fix critical bugs with tracking sales of items or manage disputes. I would recommend not using trademe for key sales not unless you are ok with lost trades that waste your time when bugs occur or when difficulties arise. As even wading through the hostile design patterns to try to contact trademe to resolve is an enormous effort.

How do I open notification to accept the offer ?

If you go into the Listing page itself you should see a Tab at the Top of the Listing page to select that shows you a History list of all offers on your listing and you will be able to accept, decline, or make a counter offer there - Cheers.

Desperately trying to contact Trade Me Trade Me has ignored all possibility of contact Trade Me is advertised my number which is a personal number on trade me as a contact number this is a breach of the Privacy Act that they have done which can result in a lawsuit stating up to 60 million dollars of trade me once they continue like this they will be sued under the trading act of 2015

Have you tried their Live chat to contact them Trevor? Just put live chat in the help search to find out how. Where is Trademe advertising your number? Phone numbers are only allowed to be placed in special fields eg in classified ads and those fields are only visible to logged in members and only when you put them in there in the first place and choose the option to make them visible on the listing. There is nowhere else that you are allowed to put your phone number that can be viewable by other members or browsers.
