Buyer doesn't want to complete the trade
AnsweredI listed an iPhone 14 Pro for sale, The auction ran its course, I contacted the successful buyer to arrange shipping quote prior to payment. Buyer responded to my email saying only 'I don't want to buy your iphone 14 pro'
So is that it? What do I do next? Do they just get away with this? Can I report them to Trademe?
I will request my success fee to be refunded in the first instance.

Kia Ora Gemma,
Sorry to read that happened to you,
Yes! by applying for your success fee refund you are reporting that Member to TradeMe who monitor accounts for repetitive behaviour and take any necessary actions in applying account restrictions where required.
Once you have obtained your Success fee refund you can send a Fixed Price Offer out to any other Members who were watching your Listing, within the first 45 days of the Listing closing, or you can simply Relist the phone.
Refer to the Help file Buyer has pulled out of the sale – Help - Trade Me for further info'.
All the Best for your Sale - Cheers.

S is spot on with this advice. You can double whammy it and can report the seller too. Because to bid and then do that just isn't ok.
Contact Us bottom of the page to get to TM, go to after the listing closes, then the trade won't be going ahead, and then, bottom of page.
Didn't find what you were looking for?
and send us a message. Fill in all the deets. You may not get a reply because of privacy and all but they will have a look at it. All the best :)

How is their feedback - something they have done before?
If not done already, I would be asking why, and why did they bid if they didnt want to buy. For 3 reasons, just out of interest (they must be a reason), also it gives you further evidence if required and you might be able to address their reason and the sale proceed. You may not get a response.
Dont forgot to place appropriate feedback
