Motors car listing process
Car listings have a set price, paid upfront, with no success fees. These have a set price and each option includes different extras to help promote your listing. Promotional extras last the same length as your listing.
Listing length
You can list your car for up to 90 days.
You can relist as many times as you need within the 90-day period.
Note: relisting must be done within 45 days (before the listing is archived from the site), or before your 90 days is up – whichever is sooner.
What happens after 90 days
After 90 days, if your car hasn’t sold, you’ll be able to renew – fees may apply.
You can relist as many times as you need within the 30-day period.
Questions, answers, or watchers aren't carried over to your new listing. You’ll have 45 days once a listing has finished to relist before it's archived from the site.

Listing options – 10 or more cars listed in 12 months
Members who list 10 or more cars in a 12-month period have different fees and listing options. If you’re in this group, you would have received an email from us.

Editing your listing
Car details
For most cars, our system will pull some info from the national database during the listing process. Any future changes (e.g. renewed WoF or updated rego expiry) won't feed through to your live listing.
To update your car listing, head to the listing from your 'Items I'm selling', then select 'Edit'. Make your changes and update the listing.
Note: Auctions can't be edited once the reserve has been met.
Background check
Background check results are retrieved from the national database, and can't be edited or removed. If the details have changed recently (e.g. a security interest has been removed) – get in touch below and we can refresh the results.
Listing category
Vehicles listed in the 'cars' category can't be changed to another category. Create a new listing in the correct category – then get in touch below and we'll refund your original listing fee.
