Managing feedback as a seller

We'll show you how to leave feedback on the buyer – plus how to edit or delete feedback.

feedback.svg Feedback can be placed up to 45 days after the listing closes. It's best to place feedback after every trade – this helps other traders choose who to trade with.

 

Placing feedback

Keep it factual, and make sure it's in line with our Feedback policy.

  1. Select Sold from My Trade Me – then select Place feedback from the listing.

  2. Select a face and enter a comment – then select Submit feedback.

  1. Select Sold tag from ‘My Trade Me’ profile-framed.
  2. Select the listing, then select Feedback under 'Next steps'.

  3. Select a face and enter a comment – then select Submit.

  2. Select the listing, then select Feedback under 'Next steps'.

Editing or deleting feedback

Feedback can be edited once. Deleted feedback can't be reinstated.

To edit or delete feedback in the meantime, head to our desktop site.

Within 45 days of the listing closing

  1. Select Sold from My Trade Me, then select Feedback placed to the right of the listing.

    (or, find the buyer's profile using the member profile search)
  2. Find your feedback, then select delete this feedback or edit this feedback.

  3. Confirm your changes.

More than 45 days after the listing closed

You'll need to visit the buyer's Trade Me profile. Here's how to get there:

If they've placed feedback on you:

  1. Go to your feedback page.
  2. Find the feedback placed by the buyer – select their username, then select their feedback rating.
  3. Find the feedback you'd like to edit or delete – select Edit this feedback or Delete this feedback.

If they haven't placed feedback:

  1. Find your sale confirmation email.
  2. Select the buyer's feedback rating next to their username.
  3. Find the feedback placed by the buyer – select their username, then select their feedback rating.
  4. Find the feedback you'd like to edit or delete – select Edit this feedback or Delete this feedback.
