Update your account details
Edit your email, password, contact details, delivery address, selling location, and Trade Me profile.
Most of your details can be updated online – quickly and easily.
You'll need to be logged in, and know your password to change your details.
If you're not able to log in – we've got you covered.
Membership address
Your membership address should be your main address, where you normally live. Your membership address can only be changed, and can't be deleted.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Edit contact details under 'Update my details'.
3. Enter your new address and select Update.

Book a Courier & delivery addresses
Addresses used for sending via Book a Courier, and when buying an item, are saved as a delivery address. You can save as many as you like – and delete any you no longer need.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Edit delivery address under 'Update my details'.
3. Add a new delivery address, or remove a saved one.

Your selling location is shown on your listings and your member profile. It's used in search to show the location of items you're selling.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Edit contact details under 'Update my details'.
3. Select your nearest location under 'Closest district', then select Update.

This is where you can share your occupation, favourite quote, and a bit about yourself. This is public, so don't include personally identifiable information here.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select My Profile under 'Update my details'.
3. Enter your profile details, these will automatically save.
You can change your username if your membership is not in-trade.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Change username under 'Update my details'.
3. Enter your new username and select Save.

In-trade memberships can request a username change. We'll consider a username change if:
- Your feedback is 97% or higher.
- You don't have any unresolved trade disputes.
- Your username hasn't been changed before.
To request a new username on your in-trade membership:
- Fill out a new username request form.
- We'll review the details, and let you know the outcome via email.
Usernames can be up to 15 characters, and only contain letters, numbers, full stops, underscores, and hyphens. Usernames can only be changed once every 30 days.
