You can change your contact details, email address, member profile info, and password, by heading to the ‘My Trade Me’ drop-down box on the home page, and selecting ‘View My Trade Me’. Everything about your account can be found here.
Regularly updating your account details keeps other members in the loop and helps us here at Trade Me, too.
Tip: If you get stuck trying to do this on your mobile, just jump on the full desktop site by heading to www.trademe.co.nz, scrolling to the bottom, and making sure 'Desktop site' is selected.
To change your email fill out the form, click ‘Update email address’ and we will send you a confirmation email.
You can enter more member profile information – such as occupation, favourite quote and more – so other members can learn more about you. Click ‘Update my profile’ once you’re happy. You can also upload a photo, once you’ve completed the form.
If you’d like a new password, fill out the form including old and new password. We’ll let you know how strong or weak your new password is before you change it. Click ‘Change password’ once it’s finalised.
Generally, we can’t change your username. However, if you’re a new user and have used your full name as your username, it’s possible we may be able to change it for you.
