Update your account details

You can update your contact and address details, email address, member profile, and password.

To do this you’ll need to be logged in. If you're having trouble logging in, check out our Help page.

Email address

  1. Head to ‘My Trade Me’.
  2. Under 'Update contact details', select 'Change email address'.
  3. Follow the prompts and select ‘Update Email Address’.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. From ‘Account Details’, select ‘Email’.
  5. Follow the prompts and select ‘Update email address’.

  2. Select ‘Profile & Account’ profile-framed.
  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. From ‘Account Details’, select ‘Email’.
  5. Follow the prompts and select ‘Update email address’.

Password 

  1. Head to ‘My Trade Me’.
  2. Under 'Update contact details', select 'Change password'.
  3. Follow the prompts and select ‘Change password’.

  2. Select ‘Profile & Account’ profile-framed.
  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Password'.
  5. Follow the prompts, and select 'Update'.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Password'.
  5. Follow the prompts, and select 'Update'.

Contact details 

  1. Head to ‘My Trade Me’.
  2. Under 'Update contact details', select 'Edit contact details'.
  3. Enter your new details and select 'Update'.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select the options you’d like to update.

  4. Select the options you’d like to update.

Delivery address 

  1. Head to ‘My Trade Me’.
  2. Under 'Update my details', select 'Edit delivery address'.
  3. Add a new delivery address, or remove a saved one.

  2. Select ‘Profile & Account’ profile-framed.
  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Delivery addresses'.
  5. Edit or remove a saved address, or 'Add a new address'.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Delivery addresses'.
  5. Edit or remove a saved address, or 'Add a new address'.

Selling location

Your selling location is shown on your listings, and your member profile. It's used in search to show the location of items you're selling.

  1. Head to 'My Trade Me'.
  2. Under 'Update my details', select 'Edit contact details'.
  3. Select your nearest location under 'Closest district', then select 'Update'.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Selling location'.
  5. Choose your nearest location from the list, then select 'Update'.

  3. From ‘Account’, select ‘My details’ edit.
  4. Select 'Selling location'.
  5. Choose your nearest location from the list, then select 'Update'.

Trade Me profile 

  1. Head to ‘My Trade Me’.
  2. Under ‘Update my details’, select ‘My profile’.
  3. Enter your profile details, these will automatically save.
To change your member profile, head to the desktop site.
To change your member profile, head to the desktop site.

Username

Generally, we won’t change a username. However, if you’re a new member and have used your full name, it’s possible we may be able to change it.
